Monday of the Ninth Week in Ordinary Time

2Peter1:2-7; Psalm 91:1-2,14-16; Mark 12:1-12

we surrender
to a divine power
that would
bestow on us
everything
that makes
a life
of devotion…
we supplement
our faith
with virtue;
virtue
with knowledge;
knowledge
with self-control;
self-control
with endurance;
endurance
with devotion;
devotion
with mutual affection;
mutual affection
with love

What is being asked of you?

The Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ

Exodus 24:3-8; Ps 116: 12-13, 15-18; Hebrews 9:11-15; Mark 14: 12-16, 22-26

beyond our means
to see
precious death
His life
His body
His pulsing
blood
poured out
calls us
to a living God
calls us
to Life
cleansing our conscience
from dead works
to worship
the living God
passing into
the sanctuary
of His love
His truth
that we may know
the new covenant
living in us
beating
in our hearts
His blood
our blood
we are
God’s own

Can you feel God’s life within you?
Do you accept God’s new covenant in your heart?
Do you take care of your life?

Saturday of the Eighth Week in Ordinary Time

Jude 17,20b-25; Psalm 63:2-6; Mark 11:27-33

what saving grace
will come to us
as we struggle
with violence
greed
and deception
from those who
have stolen authority

praying
in the Holy Spirit
we keep ourselves
in God’s love
living with
patience
for God’s mercy
to a waiting world
for we have seen
a Glory
that will not fail

Do you pray in the Holy Spirit?
Are you held in God’s love?

Monday of the Eighth Week in Ordinary Time

1Peter1:3-9; Psalm 111:1-2,5-6,9-10; Mark 10:17-27

no money
can buy
the indescribable
and glorious joy
attained
by faith
in God’s saving power
a love and joy
springing forth
from our poverty
bearing fruit
from His guiding commands
alive
in the promise
of His covenant
we give thanks
always
with all
of our heart
for all things
are possible
in God

Do you experience God’s love springing forth from your poverty?
Do you experience all things possible in God?

Trinity Sunday

Dt. 4:32-34,39-40; Ps. 33:4-6,9,12, 18-22; Romans: 8: 14-17; Mt. 28:16-20)

we fix our heart on
the God of heaven
the God of earth
a voice
amidst the fire
raised from testing
signs and wonders
and war
from the strong hand
and outstretched arm
we understand
God’s commands for love
from he who loves
justice and right
we are happy
as all are chosen
we live and breathe
with Him
knowing we are
children of God
lead away from slavery to love
we teach what we have
come to know
in our heart
we are One

with the love of God
the love of the Son of God
and the love of the Spirit
who is with us always
until the end of the age

Did anything so great ever happen before?
Have you heard the voice of God
speaking from the midst of the fire?
