Trinity Sunday

Dt. 4:32-34,39-40; Ps. 33:4-6,9,12, 18-22; Romans: 8: 14-17; Mt. 28:16-20)

we fix our heart on
the God of heaven
the God of earth
a voice
amidst the fire
raised from testing
signs and wonders
and war
from the strong hand
and outstretched arm
we understand
God’s commands for love
from he who loves
justice and right
we are happy
as all are chosen
we live and breathe
with Him
knowing we are
children of God
lead away from slavery to love
we teach what we have
come to know
in our heart
we are One

with the love of God
the love of the Son of God
and the love of the Spirit
who is with us always
until the end of the age

Did anything so great ever happen before?
Have you heard the voice of God
speaking from the midst of the fire?

Tuesday of the Seventh Week in Ordinary Time

James 4:1-10; Psalm 55: 7-11,23; Mark 9:30-37

of two minds
we wage war
against
ourselves
serving our passions
instead of
each other
forgetting
the Oneness
from which
we come
striving
to be greater than
another
we lose
our way
lost
we seek
and find
the One
who will bring
peace
to our mind
and heart
through
grace
and knowledge
of our being

Are you of two minds?
How do you seek God’s peace?

Monday of the Seventh Week in Ordinary Time

Genesis 3:9-20; Psalm 87:1-7; John 19:25-34

sharing the burden
of our separateness
our sinfulness
we see His cross
His thirst
and enter the mystery
of suffering
speaking a language
beyond our understanding
yet reaching a place
of knowing in us
where we live with Him
in God’s love
and say with him
“it is finished”
releasing our Spirit
to heaven’s joy

How do you experience the cross?

Pentecost Sunday

Acts 2.1-11; Ps. 104 1, 24, 29-31,34; 1 Cor 12.3b-7,12,13; John 20.19-23

a noise
a strong
driving wind
tongues of fire
the Holy Spirit
our advocate
coming down
among us
to renew
the face
of the earth
fruits of each
from the God
who loves All
for One good
He brings peace
and we breathe easily
freed from fear
we live
in the gifts
and drink of
the one Spirit
we give our lives
for this…
faithfulness
gentleness
love
joy
patience
kindness
generosity
self-control (Gal. 5:22-23)

How do you use your gifts?
