                   Readings: Isaiah 56: 1, 6-7; Psalm 67; Rom 11: 13-15, 29-32;

Matthew 15: 21-28

we beg

 mercy

for our children

lost to demons

we seek

 healing

our desire

our faith

breaking

through

barriers

with our love

our seeking

comes

from one

who sees

our heart

of faith

may God

be gracious

and

God’s face

shine

upon us

that this world

may be saved

and sing

its song

of Joy

Have you experienced the healing of faith?

Do you know the joy of God’s mercy?

Do you feel God’s face shining upon you

Readings: Kings 19:9-13; Psalm 85: 9-14; Romans 9: 1-5; Mt. 14: 22-33

tiny

whisper

we hear

you-

the soft

kiss

of peace

and justice

for those

who

walk

the waters

fearlessly

in buoyed

faith

towards

the Christ

who waits

calming

the storms-

struck

with belief

in the power

of His presence

we are saved

Do you sink in your fear?

Are you buoyed by your faith?

Do you hear His tiny whisper?

Readings: Isaiah 55: 1-3; Psalm 145: 8-18; Romans 8: 35-39; Mt 14: 13-21

open hand

you satisfy

all of our desires

we come

to your waters

in our

poverty

you feed us

with your

richness–

your mercy

goodness

and compassion

are

our food

and

in your love

we are

satisfied

nothing

ever

can separate us

from your love

neither

death

nor life

angels

principalities

depth nor height

your love is all

that is true

Do you accept the love from Christ’s open hand?

Do you grow in His love and compassion?

Readings: Kings 3: 5,7-12; Ps: 119: 57, 72, 76-77, 127-130; Romans 8: 28-30;
Mt 13: 44-52

not for ourselves

not for long life

not for riches

do we ask

but wisdom

knowing

your revelation

and your light

that all things

work together

for good

in you

we sell

all we have

for your treasure

holding nothing back

you teach

us generosity

we give all

for you

letting you judge

our goodness

from evil

casting out all

that is not

truth

into the fire-

we live

in your

compassion

What is your heart’s desire?

Do you give yourself completely to God?

Do you love God’s commands?

Readings: Wisdom 12:13,16-19;  Psalm 86: 5-10, 15-16; Romans 8: 26-27; Mt 13: 24-43

seed

and yeast

sown

we rise

and grow

wheat and weak

awaiting

harvest

in goodness

kindness

and forgiveness

our needs

our weakness

are known

we are

strengthened

in the spirit

groaning

inexpressible

in speech

our heart

is searched

and guided by

wisdom…

then

we shall

shine

like the sun

Do you know yourself as weeds and wheat?

Do you open your heart to the searching spirit?

Do you feel the groaning of the spirit within you?

Readings: Isaiah 55:10-11; Romans 8: 18-23; Psalm 65: 10-14; Mt 13: 1-23

some rocky ground

some shallow ground

some thorny ground

some good

rich soil

we are

your landscape

waiting

thirsting

for your word

to call us

to life

you come

in abundance

showering

with seed

and rains

softening

blessing

yielding

as we open

our hardened hearts

roots grow deep

into the soil

of your love

ever nourished

your word

shall not

return to you

void

but in

a song

of joy

Is your heart the good rich soil?

How do you weed the thorns and sweep your path?

How do your roots grow into God’s love?

Readings: Exodus 34: 4-6, 8-9; Daniel 3;  2 Cor 13: 11-13; John 3: 16-18

tested

in the wilderness

we see

the nature

of our being

hungry

alone

wandering

then

fed by God

we are free

in manna

we rise

up

and behold

the bread

of life

Christ of all

one bread

one body

our bones

our blood

in his love

we move

and have

our being

How are you fed by God?

Do you move in God’s ways?

Readings: Exodus 34: 4-6, 8-9; Daniel 3; 2 Cor 13: 11-13; John 3: 16-18

merciful

gracious

slow to anger

abounding

in steadfast

love

and faithfulness

our God

sending love

for salvation

we open

our hearts

our minds

our bodies

our breath

to his

holy breath

condemned

no longer

we see

the Truth

of love

we are

free

to live

in peace

with all

Do you experience the oneness of our being?

Do you experience the grace of Christ?

Do you feel His breath in you?

Are you alive in his spirit?

Readings: Acts 2:1-11; Psalm 104: 1, 24, 29-34; Cor 12: 3-7, 12-13; John 20:19-23

breath

of Spirit

come down

upon us

one body

sharing

different

gifts

for

the common good

the face

of the earth

renewed

as we speak

our own tongue

yet hear

in our heart

the marvels

of God’s love

and see

Glory

Do you live by the breath of God’s spirit?

Do you see our oneness in God?

Do you hear with your heart?

Readings: Acts 1: 12-14; Psalm 27: 1-8; 1 Peter 4: 13-16; John 17: 1-11

together

with the women

they prayed

fearless

in His light

wanting

only

to dwell

in God’s house

answering

the call

into their heart

seeking only God

one

true

God

unity of all

beyond time

living only

in love

free of the world

that would murder

and steal…

their hearts

are pure.

What is your desire?

What one thing do you ask?
