Readings: 1Ez: 47:1=12; Psalm 46: 2-3, 5-6, 8-0; Cor: 3:9C-11, 16-17; John 2: 3-22

we are

the temple of God

risen with Him

Spirit in-dwelling

cleansed of all

that would defile

we flow

with God’s living water

that all

from this sanctuary

that is His

should live

and flourish

our food

and medicine

provided

our refuge

our strength

our ever-present help

with God in our midst

we shall not

be disturbed

our help

at the break

of dawn

we rejoice

at the astounding things

God has wrought

upon the earth

Do you experience yourself as the temple of God?

Do you experience God in our midst?

Do you experience God’s ever-present help?

Readings: Wisdom 3:1-9; Psalm 23; Romans 5:5-11; John 6: 37-40

in peace

in the hand of God

the souls

of the just

rest

His will

fulfilled

in Love

poured out

into their hearts

they experience

mercy

and grace

reconciled

they are guided

to paths

where fear

is no longer

there is no want

only goodness

and kindness

 follow

they shine

in the light

of His love

Do you see those who have died at peace?

Do you experience his mercy and grace?

Do you experience his love poured out into your heart?

our

whole

heart

our

whole

soul

our

whole

mind

in love

with God

living

and breathing

in God’s

strength

we love

one another

from

this wellspring

showing

justice

and

mercy

and

compassion

as we

have been

shown

Do you  love God with your whole heart, your whole soul, your whole mind?

Do you love your neighbor as yourself?

Readings: Isaiah 45: 1-6; Psalm 96: 1-10; Thess 1: 1-5; Mt. 22: 15-21

rising

and setting

sun

we live

in the light

of you

laboring in

your love

living in

your power

Holy Spirit

in your breath

upon

our lips

we speak

your love

with conviction

rendering

all to God

as all

is God’s

not acting

for human favor

but for

the love of God

the love

of all

Do you give to God what is God’s?

What is God’s?

Readings: Isaiah 25: 6-10; Psalm 23: 1-6; Phil 4: 12-20; Mt: 22: 1-14

lover

of goodness

and kindness

you show us

our lowliness

our sinfulness

as you

provide all

that we need

unconditionally

each moment

yours

we know

you provide

strength

for everything

our hunger

our pain

and

we learn

to cope

with

every circumstance

this time

ever full

with you

we live

in the eternity

of love

Do you accept God’s invitation?

Do you know God as your guide…providing for all of your needs?

Readings: Isaiah 5: 1-7; Psalm 80: 9-20; Phil 4: 6-9; Mt 21: 33-43

dry land

overgrown

with thorns

and briers

laying

in ruin

lost

to the source

of being

living

by their own

corrupt law

not by all

that is true

honest

just

lovely

gracious

and worthy

of praise

killing

what would

bring life

setting their own

path of destruction

 Restore us O Lord

save what your right hand has planted

if your face

would shine upon us

then we would

be safe.

Are you connected with the source of your being?

Do you present your needs to God… dismissing all anxiety from your mind?

Do you think of all that is true, honest, just, lovely, pure, gracious and worthy of praise?

Readings:  Ezekiel 18: 25-28; Psalm 125: 4-9; Phil 2: 1-11; Mt 21: 28-32

this moment

we have

to see

to embrace

the truth

letting go

of our sins

we are

emptied

we see

and hear

the love

of Christ

united

to all

our joy

is complete

our interest

and concern

for others

ignited

we love

others

as our self

leaving

the hardness

of our heart

we go to the vineyard

to serve

with love

Do you feel the joy of your emptiness?

Can you let go of your own interests?

Are you united to the love of Christ and God’s love of all?

Readings Isaiah 55: 6-9;  Psalm 143; Phil 1: 20-27; Mt: 20: 1-16

my thoughts

are not

your thoughts

my ways

not your ways

gracious

and merciful

slow to  anger

abounding

in steadfast

love

do not

begrudge

my generosity

the last

being

first

for

all life

in me

is saved

beyond

your knowing

higher than your ways

higher than your thoughts

but near

to those

who call upon me

Do you seek the Lord while he may be found?

Do you begrudge God’s generosity?

Do you see the ways and thoughts of God?

Readings: Numbers 21: 4B-9; Psalm 78 34-38; Phil: 2:6-11; John 3: 13-17

emptied

humbled

obedient

to Him

and with Him

we are

saved

from

our complaining

and

rebellious hearts

our lying

tongues

and

unfaithfulness

we triumph

with Him

through

his love

for us

upon

a cross

our knees

bend in awe

for what

we behold

Do you experience the saving power of the Cross?

Do you experience Jesus as Lord and savior?

How does it change the way you live?

Readings:  Jeremiah 20:7-9; Psalm 63; Romans 12: 1-2; Mt 16: 21-27

my heart

a burning fire

shut up

in my bones

thirsting

clinging

fainting

flesh

longing

for God’s will

we present

ourselves

as living sacrifice

to be transformed

renewed

by what is good

and perfect

letting nothing

no one

stand in our way

we give all

to follow

this love

Do you feel the fire of God’s love in your bones?

Do you let your very self be transformed by it?
