Readings: Acts 8: 5-8, 14-17;  Psalm 66;  1 Peter 3: 15-18;  John 14: 15-21

spirit seen

we cry out

to God

with joy

not left

as orphans

we see

our

Life

in Him

in God

the realm

of Spirit

among us

the earth

is renewed

with love

How is the spirit revealed to you?

Do you hear the earth cry out to God with joy?

Readings: Acts 6: 1-7;  Psalm 33;  1 Peter 2: 4-9;  John 14: 1-12

knowing

believing

hearing

His word

living

His word

we become

the living stones

of Him

built

into

a spiritual home

we are one

of many rooms

home to Him

home in Him

we rejoice

in his

steadfast love

we breathe

His spirit

and wisdom

we walk

the earth

full

of His love

and justice

becoming His melody

easing

the world’s famine

we are fed

set free

saved

from death

Are you filled with His spirit and wisdom?

Are you built into His spiritual house?

How does He set you free?

Readings: Acts 2: 14: 36-41;  Psalm 23: 1-6;  1 Peter 2: 20-25;  John 10: 1-10

we hear

his voice

we turn

and know

the way

guardian

of our souls

we follow

paths to life

safe from those

who would

steal our life

we are given

safe passage

verdant pasture

restful waters

even in darkness

we have no fear

for courage

guides us

goodness

and kindness

follow us

passing through

the cross gate

we leave

behind

sin

and enter

God’s will

Do you hear and know his voice?

Do you follow?

Do you accept safe passage?

Readings: Acts 2: 14, 22-28; Psalm: 16: 1-2, 7-11; 1 Peter: 17-21; Luke 24: 13-35

 hidden

in plain sight

he walks

with us

informs us

guides us

even as we are blind

unknowing

unaware

he sets us on

the path of life

our sojourn

to freedom

in a strange land

delivered

from futility

in one moment

bread raised up

our hearts

and mind

open

to the joy

of the Lord

risen

alive

saving us

from all

that leads

to death

even

death

itself

Do you follow his path to life?

Have you entered the joy of the Lord?

Do you see him hidden in plain sight?

Acts 2: 42-43; Psalm 118; 1 Peter 1: 3-9; John 20: 19-31

I delight

to do your will

law written

in my heart

I rejoice

in your mercy

your hope

your love

risen

from the death

of all sin

put upon you

you come

in peace

and forgiveness

and steadfast

love

that will endure

forever

pushed hard

falling

you have

helped me

driving

the fear

from my heart

the fires

of your love

burn within me

faith

more precious

than gold

I believe

what I have not seen

Can you live in his hope?

Can you endure in his hope?

Do you partake in his good with a glad and generous heart?

Do you accept His mercy?

you are the one

he loved

at empty tomb

shroud fallen

your heart

awakened

by belief

for love

has risen

beyond this time

beyond this place

stone rolled away

his freedom

soars

from boundaries

and

we begin

anew

love

reborn

into eternal

moments

he is known

he is seen

everywhere

each heart

his own

his heart

our own

the empty tomb

answers all

for what God

has given

cannot be put

to death

you are the one

he loves

and death is

no more

Desolation…

this day

of emptiness

confusion

and longing

his agony

turned

our own

no longer

to hear his voice

feel his touch

follow his step

where has love gone?

he was our Life

our hope

our light

our answer

and now

we

are lost

who are we now?

my heart on fire

with grief

who will

console me

there are no words

for this

my sorrow

to see him

broken

bleeding

i cry

my God

why have you

fosaken me

this day

this Life

without Him

i cannot bear

day of poverty

when

i am nothing

i have nothing

filled

with the emptiness

for I have seen

all Love

and now

he is gone

wrapped in his tomb

embraced in darkness

i have died with him

no light

no thought

of life

At the Cross

you are the one

he loved

kneeling

at his cross

you see him

broken

bleeding

and you know

it is for you-

even as you recoil

at the thought

a suffering servant

holds your mind-

what power

has this to save-

heart stricken

in grief

and question

what have they done

to love?

forsaken words

cry out

from thirsting lips

the plea

of every suffering…

my God

why have you

forsaken me?

yet one so near

to hear the whispers

knows and

forgiveness

comes

to ignorance

and paradise

receives–

in such as this

mercy is born

to you

the one he loved

you are the one he loved

at break of day

yet

all of last night’s

laughter

and sharing

closeness

and oneness

are gone

clouds of betrayal

gather

love has been

bound

and taken

from our sight

fear grips

our heart

as we remember

His words

the Son of Man

must suffer

and die

the prophet

knows his time

and gives himself

without violence

for mercy’s sake

but we

what are we to do?

what are we to think?

where are we to go?

what have they done to love?

you are the one

he loved

gathered in

you followed

gathered round

you shared

reclined at table

you hear his voice

feel his breath

share his laughter

receive

his touch

holding on

to every word

you will remember

his cup

his heart

his wine

his love

he is every meal

your nourishment

every meal

your sustenance

all the miles walked

upon this earth

in time

are changed

within his hands

each step

renewed

with sacred touch

worn upon

your feet he cleansed

to serve

to heal

to love

you are the one he loved
