1Thes 2:9-13; Psalm 139: 7-12; Matthew 23:27-32

you search us
you know us
there is
nowhere
to run
or fly
or hide
from your love
shining
into
the dark tomb
of us
you bring
Light
to where
there was
none
enlightened
we see
what has
always been
what will
always be
a pure love
and we
lay down
our arms
and live
in your mercy
goodness
and kindness

Where do you try to run and hide?
Have you experienced his light shining within you?
Have you laid down your arms?

1Thes 2:1-18; Psalm 139:1-6; Matthew 23: 23-26

no matter
our story
you come
with Truth
and love
and mercy
understanding
our hearts
and minds
and souls
before us
behind us
ever with us
as a mother
who nourishes
her child
we have only
to see
what is
ever
before us
and say
yes
to love
on this
we are
judged

Do you say “yes” to God’s love?
Do you feel known and understood by God?

Revelations 21:9b-14; Psalm 145:10-18; John 1:45-51

we come
and see
the One
with no
duplicity
and are
witness
to the
undivided
heart
that sees
the glory
and splendor
of God
the angels
among us
at work
we behold
we listen
we follow
and give thanks

Do you experience the glorious splendor of God?

Joshua 24:1-2;, 15-18; Psalm 34: 2-3, 9, 16-21; Eph 5: 21-32; John 6:60-69)

Spirit
that gives life
we rise
from flesh
to follow
our one true God
of love
who is close to
our broken hearts
he rescues us
in our distress
our bones
shall not
be broken
as we suffer
with him
in him
our spouse
we are loved
we love
in ways
we could not imagine
this great mystery
of Christ
God’s love
alive within us
eternal

Do you feel God with you in your time of sorrow?
Do you follow the God of love?

Ruth 2:1=3,8-11,4:13-17; Psalm 128:1b-5; Matthew 23:1-12

calling
no one master
but Him
the Christ
we follow
His ways
servant
to all
the goodness
we have
found
in God
practicing
each moment
what we
hear
in His word
actions
born of Truth
producing
fruits
of kindness
and compassion
to a world
in desperate
need

Who do you call master?

Ruth 1:1,3-6,14-16,22; Psalm 146:5-10; Matthew 22:34-40

you who
open
our eyes
raise
us up
protect us
give us
hope
and your love
wherever
i go
you are
wherever
i live
you live
a love
with heart
and soul
and mind
received
is given
freely
on this
justice
all depends

Have your eyes been opened?

Judges 9:6=15; Psalm 21:2-7; Matthew 20:1-16

gladdened
with the joy
of your face
we receive
all we need
our heart’s
desire
fulfilled
in you
who shows
no partiality
we give up
all to your
as you
have given
all to us
in a kindness
and mercy
beyond
our understanding

Do you experience your life completed in God?

Judges 6:11-24; Psalm 85:9-14; Matthew 19:12-30

living in
our impossibilities
and limitations
we look
to God
where
all
possibility
dwells
beyond
our riches
and preconceptions
a truth
springs
from the earth
as justice
looks
down
from heaven
empowering us
with peace
and kindness
a fire of love
ignites
from our offerings
and we are saved

Do you live in God’s possibility?

Judges 2:11-19; Psalm 106:34-44; Matthew 19:16-22

letting go
of all
that possesses us
we see
our treasure
in heaven
the heart
of God’s
goodness
come to earth
in a love
that is in
yet beyond
his commands
calling us
from idolatrous
ways
to a Truth
that feeds
and sustains us

Do you let go of all that possesses you?

Proverbs: 9:1-6; Psalm 34:2-7,9; Ephesians 5:15-20; John 6:51-58

come to the house
of Wisdom
she will
feed you
she who
knows
life
living bread
of Christ
our meal
we taste
and see
the goodness
of the lord
wine of goodness
and life
and spirit
not drunkenness
ignorance
and foolishness–
in awe
we are taught
the ways of goodness
and peace
from
she who knows

Do you know her—Wisdom?
Do you know him—the Christ?
