Col 1:21-23; Psalm 54:3-8; Luke 6: 1-5

reconciled
to God
all
is sacred
and held
in reverence
firmly
grounded
in faith
we persevere
keeping
all
hope
in the Gospel
where
every creature
under heaven
preaches
the good news
of God’s love

Do you see the sacredness of all God’s creation?

Col 1:15-20; Psalm 100:1-5;Luke 5:33-39

we sing
joyfully
and serve
with gladness
as love
is among us
reconciled
through
His cross
we are
made new
through
a love
a Presence
that holds
all things
together
in a kindness
that endures
forever

Have you been made new?
Do you serve with gladness?

Col 1:9-14; Psalm 98:2-6; Luke 5:1-11

casting our
nets
into
deep waters
we see
His goodness
and love
we leave
everything
and follow
singing
praise
strengthened
with patience
endurance
and joy
we share
the news
of God’s will
God’s love
of all
and are
delivered
from darkness
no longer
afraid

Have you cast your net into the deep waters?
Have you left everything to follow?

Look at the World
by John Rutter

Look at the world, everything all around us
Look at the world and marvel every day.
Look at the world: so many joys and wonders,
So many miracles along our way

Refrain
Praise to thee, O lord for all creation.
Give us thankful hearts that we may see
All the gifts we share, and every blessing,
All things come of thee.

Look at the earth bringing forth fruit and flower,
Look at the sky the sunshine and the rain.
Look at the hills, look at the trees and mountains,
Valley and flowing river, field and plain.

Think of the spring, think of the warmth of summer
Bringing the harvest before winter’s cold.
Everything grows, everything has a season,
till it is gathered to the Father’s fold:

Every good gift, all that we need and cherish.
Comes from the Lord in token of his love
We are his hands, stewards of all his bounty
His is the earth and his the heavens above

1Thes 5:1-6, 9=11; Psalm 27:1,4,13-14; Luke 4:31-37

drawn
to His words
and His light
we are
amazed and astonished
at His authority
and strength
as one who knows
God’s loves
and drives out
the demons
it is here
we wish
to dwell
in the house
of the Lord
with care
and concern
encouraging
and building up
one another
knowing
we will see
the good things
of the Lord
in the land
of the living

Do you experience the authority and strength of His words?
Are you a child of the Light?

1Thes 4:13-18; Psalm 96:1,3,4-5,11-13; Luke 4:16-30

anointed
by God’s love
He brings
good news
that opens
our eyes
and sets us
free
no longer
captive
and oppressed
we sing
a new song
to the Lord
the heavens
are glad
the earth
rejoices
the sea
and what
fills it
resounds
the trees
exult
as we hear
of God’s justice
God’s love
of All

Are you overwhelmed by God’s love?

Dt. 4:1-2, 6-8; Psalm 15: 1-3; James 1:17-18, 21-22, 27, Mark 7:1-8, 14-15, 21-23

perfect gift
word of Truth
planted within our heart
we hear the ancient law
of Moses
beating within us
alive
we do God’s justice
in love of all
purified from within
our soul fed
we are saved
from evil
ways of
greed
and
malice
deceit
and
envy
arrogance
and
harm
reaching out
to widow
and orphan
to the abandoned–
we abandon
ourselves
to God
becoming doers
not hearers only
of His word

Do you hear and act on the word of God in your heart?
Do you disregard God’s commands and cling to human traditions?

1Thess 4:9-11; Psalm 98:1,7-9; Mark 6:17-29

we love
one another
with unselfish
concern
accepting
one another
in faith
and seek
each other’s
good
aspiring
to live
a tranquil life
minding
our own affairs
working with
our hands
singing
for the beauty
of God’s earth
and God’s justice
in His
love for all
our oath
and promise
are to God
alone

Do you live a tranquil life?

1Thes 4:1-8; Psalm 97: 1-2; 5-6, 10-12; Matthew 25:1-13

we wait
keeping
all that
is essential
for life
in you
living
flame
of love
burning
in a purity
not our own
we live
in a holiness
that rejoices
in glory
never
knowing
the hour
or the day
creating
an ever-presence
of your love

What is the oil you cannot share?
How do  you wait for his coming?

1Thes 3:7-13; Psalm 90: 3-5,12-17; Matthew 24:42-51

fill us
at daybreak
with your love
and kindness
that we
may always
stay awake
doing
your works
of mercy
and love
being nourished
and nourishing
a starving world
with your
Presence
prospering
the work
of your hands
keeping
at bay
all that
would steal
what is your
goodness

Are you filled at daybreak with his love?
