Memorial of Our Lady Of Sorrows
1 Tim3:1-13; Psalm 101:1-6; Luke 2:33-55

mother
of sorrows
we see you
at the cross
and enter
your anguish
as we see
the world’s sins
put upon him
contrite
of any
complicity
we turn
ourselves
over to
the love
we see
and enter
your “yes”
where our intention
meets God’s will
and divine love
is born

Where do you go with your sorrow?

Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross
NM 21:4-0; Psalm 78:1-2,34-38; Phil 2:6-11; John 3:13-17

complaining
“not good enough”
we look
to the one
who is
held high
upon a cross
and we see
the mystery
of our salvation
in one
who emptied
himself
for all others
to see
a love
beyond
our understanding
in this world
yet
completed
in another
revealing
our divine nature

What do you see when you behold the cross?

Isaiah 50:4-9; Ps 116: 1-9; James 2:14-18; Mark 8:27-35

our cross
taken up
we follow
we leave
a certain life
behind us
as we are
saved into
a gospel life
of faith
where each work
of life
is renewed
with Truth
and Love
we walk
in the land of
the living
freed
from death
freed
from tears
freed
from stumbling
we face
hardship
suffering
knowing
that God is our help
we reach towards
each other
as God’s mercy
reaches
to us

Do you take up your cross and follow?

1Timothy 1:15-17; Psalm 113:1-7; Luke 6:43-49

from
the rising
and setting
of the sun
we work
through
and with
God’s
merciful love
building
a foundation
of goodness
that
no storm
can wash away

On what do you build your foundation?

1Timothy 1:1-2,12-14; Psalm 16:1-2, 5, 7-8, 11; Luke 6:39-42

leaving
ignorance
we follow
the one
who knows
the love
of God
not seeing
our faults
in another
but in
ourselves
we seek
counsel
in the place
of mercy
and
are shown
the path
to life
and joy

Have you been shown the path of life?
Who is your teacher?

Col 3:12-17; Psalm 150:1-6; Luke 6:27-38

Brothers and sisters:
Put on heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience,

bearing with one another and forgiving one another…
as the Lord has forgiven you, so must you also do.

And over all these put on love,
And let the peace of Christ control your hearts,
the peace into which you were also called in one Body.
And be thankful.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly,
as in all wisdom you teach and admonish one another,
singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs
with gratitude in your hearts to God.

And whatever you do, in word or in deed,
do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Do you let the peace of Christ control your heart?

Do you love your enemies?

Col 3:1-11; Psalm 145: 2-3,1-=11,12-13; Luke 6:20-26

knowing
our need
in hunger
poverty
and grief
we look
to what
is above
far from
greed
anger
malice
and evil desires
we seek
compassion
as God
is compassionate
loving us
in our sufferings
we are healed
and give thanks

Do you feel God’s compassion?

Feast of the Nativity of Mary
Romans 8:28-30; Psalm 13:6AB,6C; Matthew 1:1-16, 18-23

conforming
to His image
all things
work
for good
for those
who love God
predestined
called
justified
glorified
we live
according
to God’s purpose
God’s love
for all
we rejoice
and say “yes”
to each
invitation
of grace

How do you respond to God’s invitation?

Col 1:24-2:3; Psalm 62: 6-0; Luke 6:6-11

we stretch
out our hand
and are healed
by the one
in whom
all the
treasures
of wisdom
and knowledge
are hidden
who would
save life
rather
than destroy it
we are
brought
together
in love
chosen
to make
manifest
the Christ
in us
laboring
and struggling
with His power
working
within

Do you experience the power of Christ in you?

Isaiah 35:4-7; Psalm 146:1, 7-10; James 2:1-5; Mark 7: 31-37

burning sands
become pools
chosen poor
become rich
in faith
eyes and ears
are
opened
to a wealth
beyond riches
we praise
the Lord
whose streams
burst forth
in deserts
to quench
our thirsting souls
to save us from
our fears
our hunger
setting us
free
from injustice
we are
beggars
for his word
his Truth
his touch

Have your eyes been opened?
Have your ears heard?
Is your soul thirsting for Truth?
