Jeremiah 15:10,16=21; Psalm 59:2-18; Matthew 13:4-46

this pearl
of great price
demanding all
this kingdom
of heaven
within
we sell all
we have
for it
and offer
our repentance
to a mercy
beyond
our means
bringing forth
what is precious
from the mouth
of God

Where do you find heaven?
How do you bring forth what is precious?

Jeremiah 14:17-22; Psalm 79: 8-13; Matthew 13:36-43

you plant
your seed
within us
your Word
that gives
Life
we tend
its soil
with love
and compassion
yielding
its weeds
to you
for rooting up
and pruning
then offering
first fruits
to the Light
of Glory

Who tends to your heart?

Jeremiah 13:1-11; Dt 32:18-21; Mt 13:34:35

following
the voice of Truth
given in love
to our minds
and hearts
our small seed
of faith
grows in abundance
fulfilling all
our spiritual needs
with the fruits
of the Holy Spirit
lived out
in our daily life

What seed has been planted in your mind and heart?
What has taken root?
How is it lived out in your daily life?

2 Kings 4: 42-44; Psalm 145: 10-11, 15-18; Eph 4: 1-6; John 6: 1-15)

“the hand of the Lord
feeds us
and answers
all our needs”
one body
one spirit
we gather first fruits
and feed
one another
as ancient prophets
and Jesus
are one with us
we know
there is enough
in open hands
the justice of God
pours out
to satisfy
the desire
of every living thing–
to be king
was not God’s answer
but to know God
and each other
heart to heart
and call upon him
for Truth
God who is just
in all ways.

Do you call upon God for Truth?
Do you believe you have enough and share?
Do you live with open hands?

Jeremiah 7:1-11; Psalm 84:3-11; Matthew 13:24-30

our heart
and soul
cry out
for the dwelling place
in God
that gives us
our strength
to live
and shelter
the needs
of others
living
among
the weeds
and wheat
we pray
to not be uprooted
that what is good
in us
may flourish
in its due time

What is it to live among the weeds and the wheat?

Matthew 13:1-9

the sower
comes
with word seeds
scattered
in our heart
some bird comes
to steal
some sun
to scorch
some thorns
to choke
yet some
find their way
into the rich soil
where they set
deep root
and grow
into the tree of Life
bearing
great fruit

Have you opened your heart to God’s word seeds?
Where do they take root?

Jeremiah 2:1-3,7-8,12-13; Psalm 36; Matthew 13:10-17

in your light
we see
light
the place
of mercy
the place
of justice
the place
of love
source
of the living waters
we enter
a garden
full of the hope
in faithfulness
to your word
nourishing us
with daily bread

By what light do you see?

2Cor 4:7-15; Psalm 126: 1-6; Matthew 20:20-28

our treasure
within
this earthen vessel
creative Spirit
of God
compelling us
to live well
creating
in goodness
kindness
and compassion
sharing
our given wealth
with one another
especially those
in greatest need
turning their tears
into laughter

How do you create goodness, kindness and compassion in the world?

Micah 7:14-15, 18-20; Psalm 85; Matthew 12:46-50

we enter
a family
of God
united
in love
mercy
and kindness
guided
by the Holy Spirit
all is forgiven
as we embrace
heaven now
even as we struggle
with who we are
in this family

Can you imagine a healing love?

Micah 6:1-4;6-8; Psalm 150; Matthew 12:38-42

we seek
no sign
only
to do
the right
love goodness
and walk
humbly
with our God

What do you seek?
