Thursday of the Twelfth Week in Ordinary Time

Acts 3:1-10; Psalm 19:2-5; Galatians 1:11-20; John 21:15-19

the heavens
declare
the Glory of God
the Holy Spirit
leads
at the beautiful gate
we rise up
and walk with Him
healed
of our infirmities
we gather
strength
and courage
to follow
feeding
tending
caring
for all He offers
to our life
living the love
given as gift
given to others
in His name

Where do you find healing and encouragement?

Wednesday of the Twelfth Week in Ordinary Time

Genesis 15:1-18; Psalm 105:1-9; Matthew 7:15-20

aligned
with God’s grace
we bear
the fruit
of God’s Goodness
wary
of false prophets
wolves
in sheep’s clothing
we keep
our eyes fixed
on the one
who keeps
His covenant
and shows us
the way
through our anxiety
to the peaceful way
of Truth

How does God show you the way through you anxiety?
What is your daily bread?
How do you bear God’s fruit?

Tuesday of the Twelfth Week in Ordinary Time

Genesis 13:2-18; Psalm 15:2-5; Matthew 7:6,12-14

where is
the narrow gate
constricted road
that leads
to life

some cross
that calls us
through
its mysterious way

some mystical
birth canal
where we are
nourished
in God’s womb
then expelled
into the Light
of Knowing

spiritual senses
ignited
we live
in Heaven’s realm
of Love
tasting
and seeing
God’s Goodness
of All

Where is your narrow gate?

Twelfth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Jeremiah 20: 10-13; Ps 69 8-10, 14, 17, 33-35; Rom 5: 12-15; Mt. 10:26-33

do not be afraid
the light
will reveal
itself
from darkness
Truth of Christ
of love
of life
God who probes
the mind
and heart
sees
and rescues
answering
our prayers
the prayers
of the poor
with mercy
death
came through us
now
life comes
through Him

How does the truth of Christ give you life?
How do you speak of his truth?
Is what you say true?

Thursday of the Eleventh Week in Ordinary Time

Matthew 6:7-15

“This is how you are to pray

Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name
thy Kingdom come,
thy will be don,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.”

As you forgive, so will you be forgiven.

Do you forgive everything?
