as we know
who we are
in the undivided
love of God
treasuring
the words
of the prophets
and the healing touch
of Christ
living always
in God’s presence
in our heartbeat
and breath

our contrite heart
we offer
to mercy
as we seek
compassion
and kindness
for ourselves
and others
knowing all love

setting us free
to love God

freed from the marketplace
freed from lies
freed from murder
freed from stealing
freed from unfaithfulness
eyes ever fixed on
Christ crucified
love beyond
our greatest fear
of death
we hear the words
of everlasting life.
