Luke 1:30-56

our souls
proclaim
the greatness
of the Lord
our Spirit
rejoices
in God
our savior
who offers
mercy
and strength
filling
all of our needs
helping us
never forgetting
His promise
we feel the Light
of His love
within us
leaping up
for joy

How do you experience God’s light within you?
Does you Soul proclaim the greatness of the Lord?

Dt 10:12-22; Psalm 147:12-20; Matthew 17:22-27

in loving
and serving God
with our whole heart
our whole soul
our whole mind
and loving
our neighbor
as ourselves
we fulfill
life’s purpose
for us
seeing within
and without
God’s goodness
creating life
as it was
called to be

How do you serve God’s love?

Kings 19:9-13; Psalm 85: 9-14; Romans 9: 1-5; Mt. 14: 22-33

tiny
whisper
we hear
you

the soft
kiss
of peace
and justice
for those
who
walk
the waters
fearlessly
in buoyed
faith
towards
the Christ
who waits
calming
the storms

struck
with belief
in the power
of His presence
we are saved

Are you buoyed by your faith?
Do you sink in your fear?

Dt 6:4-13; Psalm 18:2-4, 47, 51, Matthew 17:14-20

your mustard seed
of faith
grows
until it fills
all
of your world
air
and breath
earth
and sky
tree
and field
all
that you are
all
that will ever be
the mountain
is moved
healing comes
love
is revealed

Do you have even a mustard seed of faith?
What mountain has it moved?

Dt. 4:32-40; Psalm 77:12-21; Matthew 16:24-28

from
the midst
of fire
the white heat
of His voice
call us
to remember
who we are
in God’s wonder
and power
and fix it
in our hearts
to follow
the one
who will
lead us
and our children
home
to peace

Have you heard His voice in the midst of fire?

Feast of St. Lawrence
2Cor 9:6-10; Psalm 112:1-9; John 12:24-26

generously
we sow
the seed
given
dying
as a grain
of wheat
to an old life
to be born
again
into
a new life
where
the light
of the Holy Spirit
shines
and we follow
a way
we know
as Truth
built
on the
steadfast heart
of God’s love

Do you sow your seed generously?
Are you a cheerful giver?

Numbers 13:1-2,25-14:1,26-29,34-35; Psalm 106:6-7,13-14,21-23;
Matthew 15:21-28

persistent
in our faith
we go
to the One
who heals
bringing
all our hopes
and fears
sorrows
and prayers
believing
in the power
that saves
not accepting any rebuke
we ask
and receive

Are you persistent in your faith?
Where do you go for healing?

Matthew 14:22-36

facing the storm
tossed and turned
by the anxieties
of our time
we cry out
for help
and He answers
walking across
our troubled waters
he reaches out
His hand
to our need
and our fear
asking only
for faith
to sustain us

Do your faith to sustain you?

Number 11:4-15; Psalm 81:12-17; Matthew 14:13-21

through
God’s abundance
our need
is filled
even when
it is not
what we expected
and even as we complain
and moan
time
opens
our eyes
and we see
the little
we have
grow
and multiply
as our eyes are opened
to see
the abundance of God
in all things

Do you see the abundance of God?

Feast of the Transfiguration
Dn 7:9-10,13-14; Psalm 97:1-2,5-6,9; 2Peter 1:16-19; Mark 9:2-10

as the day
dawns
and the
morning star
rises
in our hearts
we see
the light
of who
we are
one
with Him
in God’s glory
a gift
of awe
and wonder
of a love
and power
beyond
our imagining
that no word
or thought
can capture

Do you see the transforming light?
