Numbers 11:4-15; Psalm 81:12-17; Matthew 14:13-21

burdened
by the lost
and the wandering
by those
who lacked
trust
in their
hardened hearts
he cries out
to God
and one
is sent
to show them
they have
enough
among them
in hearts
that open
to give
the gifts
they have
received
sharing
from God’s love

Has he opened your heart to share?

Ex: 16:2-4,12-15; Psalm 78: 3-4,23-25, 54; Ephesians 4: 17, 20-24;
John 6: 24-35

our daily
bread
sent
down
from heaven
feeds
our heart
and minds
the spiritual
food
that we
might grow
into
a new
creation
laying aside
our former
way of life
lived in
illusion
that we
may see
the Truth
through him-
divine love
sent to save us
and feed us

Are His words food for your Spirit?
Have you set aside your former life?
Do you have faith in the One who was sent to you?

Leviticus 23:1,4-16,27,34=37; Psalm 81:3-6,10-11; Matthew 13:54-58

a light
too familiar
too close
we are blinded
to one another
losing
our power
for good
yet
in turning
to God
we hear
a new melody
that awakens us
to all
that has been
and will be
a Light
and Love
that cannot
be forsaken

Can you hear this melody?

Exodus 40:16-21,34-38; Psalm 84:3-11; Matthew 13:47-53

we move
and have
our being
in God
dwelling
in His Presence
we keep
our attention
and our step
with God’s Spirit
allowing
all
that is evil
to be swept away
while
remaining
in His Goodness

Do you allow all evil to be swept away?

Exodus 34:29-35; Psalm 99:5-9; John 11:19=27

recollected
in the Presence
and heart
of God
we are
radiant
with His love
and His word
knowing
where
our value is
we leave
our anxiety
and worry
and choose
to follow Him
who gives
us Life
and Truth

What do you choose?

Exodus 33:7-11,34:5-9,28; Psalm 103:6-13; Matthew 13:36-43

dealing not
with our sins
or crimes
but in
His kindness
and mercy
shining like
the sun
we are drawn
to His light
for our children’s sake
we embrace
all
that is good
and right
and loving
with complete
trust
in Him
creator
of all things

Do you have complete trust in God?

Exodus 32:15-24;30-34; Psalm 106:19-23; Matthew 13:31-35

being
led astray
by false images
and golden calves
we forget
who we are
in God’s glory
and the one
who leads us
to Truth
yet
still
he forgives
and with faith
as small
as a mustard seed
we begin
again
and grow
into His kingdom
a kingdom
of goodness
and love

Do you have the faith of the mustard seed?

2 Kings 4: 42-44; Psalm 145: 10-11, 15-18; Eph 4: 1-6; John 6: 1-15

“The hand of the Lord feeds us. He answers all our needs”

one body
one spirit
we gather first fruits
and feed
one another
as ancient prophets
and Jesus
are one with us
we know
there is
enough
in open hands
the justice of God
pours out
to satisfy
the desire
of every living thing–
to be king
was not his answer
but to know God
and each other
heart to heart
and call upon him
for Truth
He who is just
in all his ways.

Do you call upon God for Truth?
Do you believe you have enough and share?
Do you live with open hands?

2Cor 4:7-15; Psalm 126:1-6; Matthew 20:20-28

given freedom
we rejoice
as though
dreaming
having sown
and toiled
in tears
we are filled
with laughter
and joy
for though
afflicted
perplexed
persecuted
and struck down
we have not
been constrained
abandoned
destroyed
or left in despair
we are raised up
by the God
who raised him
our treasure
found
in these
earthen vessels

Have you found freedom?

Exodus 20:1-17; Psalm 19:8-11; Matthew 13:18-23

sower
of seed
you seek
the fertile heart
open
to your word
where love
can take root
and bear fruit
not snatched away
in lack
of understanding
fallen away
amidst trial
or choked away
in the thorns
of the worlds’s anxiety
but pruned
and tended
with a love
not our own

Do you have an open heart?
