Romans 15:14-51; Psalm 98:1-4;Luke 16:1-8

by the power
of the Spirit of God
we are called
to remember
our goodness
letting go
of any squandering
of our life
and singing
a new song
revealing
the kindness
faithfulness
and justice
of which we are
a part
in God’s love

Do you remember the goodness of which you are a part?

Romans 13:7-12; Psalm 27: 1,4,13-14; Luke 15:1=10

we live
for God’s love
and see
God’s love
day after day
in the land
of the living
called from
our darkness
our separateness
and anxiety
to His light
we give
up our fear
and find refuge
dwelling there
we gaze
upon God’s loveliness
and call all
who are lost
to what we
have found

Where is your dwelling place?

Romans 13:8-10; Palm 112:1-9; Luke 14:25-33

with our
hatreds
and burdens
and possessiveness
we come
and are set free
by the power
of God’s love
we live by
the Holy Spirit
the door opens
to justice
and mercy
and generosity
we owe nothing
to anyone
but love

Do you bring all to Christ to be set free?

Wisdom 3:1-9; Psalm 23; Romans 5:5-11; John 6:37-40

wisdom comes
bearing
a love
we cannot
refuse
keeper
of our soul
guiding us
on the right path
even as we walk
through
a valley of death
only goodness
and kindness
shall follow
as we trust
in Him
and know
Truth
in Him

Have you experienced a Love you cannot refuse?

Rev 7:2-4,9-14;Psalm 24:1-6; 1John 3:1-3; Matthew 5:1-12

in our mourning
and meekness
hungering
and thirst
clean of heart
and merciful
persecuted and
insulted
for His name
surviving
our time
of great distress
we come
and are blessed
by Him
from God’s love
as beloved
sons and daughters
knowing
who we are
and living from
this place
of hope
and love
in Him

Do you feel blessed by God’s love?
Do you know who you are?

Romans 11:1-2, 11-12, 15-29; Psalm 94:12-18; Luke 14: 1, 7-11

our feet
are slipping
yet your mercy
sustains us
in a love
that is
irrevocable
independent of
our wanderings
or transgressions
or hardened hearts
you give
a love
that calls
ever deeply
into what remains
true
and lovely
and good
in us
drawing us
from low places
to the Light
of your Presence

Does God call deeply into what is true and lovely and good in you?

Romans 9:1-5; Psalm 147: 12-20; Luke 14: 1-6

out of darkness
a people
chosen
to see
who
they are
in God’s love
given
adoption
covenant
his law
and promise
worship
and Christ
who heals
we see
glory
and spread
the good news

What gifts are you given to see?

Romans 8: 31-39; Psalm 109: 21-22,26-27, 30-31; Luke 13: 31-35

a certain
knowledge
within
steadfast
our God
with us
through
all things
in a love
that no one
can separate
us from
no distress
no anguish
death
or peril
no present
or future thing
we rest
secure

Do you live in the certain knowledge of God’s presence?

Ephesians 2:19-22; Psalm 19; Luke 6:12-16

His word
His message
pours out
to all the earth
drawing us
all together
into the
dwelling place
of God
in the Spirit
no longer strangers
and sojourners
we are
a family
of love
in Christ

Do you feel drawn into Christ’s love?
