1Mc1:10-15,41-43,54-57,62-63; Psalm 119:53,61,134,150,155,158; Luke 18:35-43

Jesus
you say
“What do you
want me to do
for you?”

I say
teach me
the love
you have–
that extends
even to enemies
a love
that feels
so impossible
as the world
is filled
with terror

and that
I may see
with your eyes
of Wisdom
that cuts though
all deception
to Truth

What do you want me to do for you?

Daniel 12:1-3;Ps 16:5-11; Hebrews 10:11-18; Mark 13:24-32

the heavens and earth
shall pass away
a darkened sun
a darkened moon
the stars fallen
in darkness
we are shaken
unsurpassed in distress
we cry for safety
we seek
the path of Life…
He is near
even at the door
four winds shall bring Him
the tree shall sprout
one sacrifice
one offering
in this
His love fulfilled
the dust of the earth
shall awake
the wise
shall shine brightly
those who lead
many to justice
shall shine
like stars
forever
the heavens and the earth
shall pass away
but His
word
shall not

Do you know the day or the hour?
Do you seek the path of Life?
Is God your hope?

Wisdom 18:14-19; 19:6-9; Psalm 105: 2-3, 36=37; 42=43; Luke: 18:1-8

rejoice
O hearts
that seek
the Lord
that your prayers
are heard
and that
saving grace
has come
despite
any violence
you may know
God’s peace
and love
lives among us
by our desire
for it

Is your heart’s desire God’s love and peace?

Wisdom 12:1-9; Psalm 19: 2-5; Luke 17: 26-37

in morning
Glory
we remember
who we are
one in being
with God
who daily
pours out Her word
and imparts
knowledge
of Love
of which
we are made
and sustains us
at any moment
we are swept up
into the imperishable
moment of now
where God resides
giving Life

Where do you live?

Wisdom 7:22-8:1; Psalm 119: 89-91, 130, 135, 175; Luke 17: 20-25

embrace wisdom
for she ushers in
the Kingdom
of God…

In Wisdom is a spirit
intelligent, holy, unique,
Manifold, subtle, agile,
clear, unstained, certain,
Not baneful, loving the good, keen,
unhampered, beneficent, kindly,
Firm, secure, tranquil,
all-powerful, all-seeing,
And pervading all spirits,
though they be intelligent, pure and very subtle.
For Wisdom is mobile beyond all motion,
and she penetrates and pervades all things by reason of her purity.
For she is an aura of the might of God
and a pure effusion of the glory of the Almighty;
therefore nought that is sullied enters into her.
For she is the refulgence of eternal light,
the spotless mirror of the power of God,
the image of his goodness.
And she, who is one, can do all things,
and renews everything while herself perduring;
And passing into holy souls from age to age,
she produces friends of God and prophets.
For there is nought God loves, be it not one who dwells with Wisdom.
For she is fairer than the sun
and surpasses every constellation of the stars.
Compared to light, she takes precedence;
for that, indeed, night supplants,
but wickedness prevails not over Wisdom.

Indeed, she reaches from end to end mightily
and governs all things well.
–Wisdom 7:22-8:1

Wisdom 6:1-11; Psalm 82: 3-4, 6-7; Luke 17: 11-19

Wisdom
speaking
truth to power
reminds us
at whose pleasure
they serve
not their own
but God’s will
to love

and bring justice
to Life
especially to
the poor
the destitute
the fatherless
and the outcast
calling all
to gratitude
for God’s
healing power

Are you grateful for God’s healing power?
Do you hear Wisdom speaking to our leaders?

Wisdom 2:23-3-9; Psalm 34: 2=3,16-19; Luke 17: 7-10

in our love
we touch
what is
imperishable
the nature
of God
who gives
freely
as we
are called
to do
expecting
nothing
in return
yet knowing
every moment
the wonder
of which
we are a part

Do you experience the wonder of which you are a part?

Ez 47:1-2,8-9,12; Psalm 46: 2-0; 1Cor 3:9-11,16-17; John 2: 13-22

the temple
of our hearts
swept clean
we see
and understand
as He is
resurrected there
the rivers
of Life
flow within us
and through us
as we are restored
by the God
who loves us
no longer objects
of buying
and selling
we live
in the abundance
of the Holy Spirit
freely
giving
and receiving
her gifts

Do you live in the abundance of the Holy Spirit?
Do you give and receive freely?

(Kings 17:10-16; Ps 146: 7-10; Hebrews 9:24-28; Mark 12:38-44

from our want
we give God
all we have
as we follow
Christ
who gave all
with open heart
these jars of flour
these jugs of oil
shall not go empty
shall not be dry
as we
put our faith in
and praise Him
generous spirit
securing justice
protecting strangers
the widows
and fatherless
the naked
and hungry
He is our food
He gives us
Life

Do you give from your want to God?
Do you accept his generous spirit?
Is He the food that gives you Life?

Romans 16:3-9,16,22-27; Psalm 145: 2-5, 10-11; Luke 16:9-15

God
you know
our hearts
and how much
we struggle
in the world
to be true
and trustworthy
to our Spiritual nature
forgetting
who we are
we trust
in material things
over the Spirit
that brings life
and love
kindness
and generosity
in this struggle
mercy is born

Are you trustworthy in little things?
Do you rely on the Holy Spirit for guidance at all times?
