Acts 6:8-15; Psalm 119:23-30; John 6:22-29

removed
from falsehood
we delight
in God’s law
of Love
come to us
through
Jesus
and the Holy Spirit
who guides
our ways
day to day
a light
that shines
on all
who would see
and choose
His way
of Truth

Do you meditate on God’s law of love each day?

Acts 5:27-32; 40-44; Psalm 30: 2-6, 11-13; Rev 5: 11-14; John 21: 1-19

beloved disciples
we know
His voice
raised from death
from curses
and hate-
alone
in darkness
catch but few
our nets casts forth
but in His light
and word
we are filled
and follow
unable to be silent
of the one who
has rescued us
loved us
we risk all
we give all
for it
better to obey God
than men-
by charcoal fires
we are fed
forgiven for denials
we love
and love
and love
feeding
tending
caring
even unto death
our mourning is
changed to dancing
while all creation
praises His love

Do you hear his voice in the stranger?
Do you forgive yourself and turn to love?
Do you praise Him at all times?

Acts 6:1-7; Psalm 33:1-2,4-5,18-19; John 6:16-21

calming
the storms
in our hearts
we relinquish
our fear
to trust
in God
singing
in praise
and making
our life
a prayer

Is your life a prayer?

Acts 5:34-42; Psalm 27:1-4,13-14; John 6:1-15

sharing
what we have
in part
is multiplied
to the whole
and hunger
is met
as impartial
light
gives itself
to the darkness
bring sight
we gaze
on the loveliness
of God
whose only desire
is love
He leaves
their desire
for King
and seeks
the solitude
of Truth

What do you share?

Acts 5:27-33; Psalm 34:2,9,17-20; John 3:31-36

unrationed Spirit
of God’s abundance
we are given
all we need
in a Love
close
to our broken-heartedness
and distress
binding
our wounds
and guiding us

spirit filled
we taste
and see
the goodness
of the Lord
and rejoice

Do you call upon the Holy Spirit?

Acts 5:17-26; Psalm 34:2-9; John 3:16-21

poor
you rescued us
with Truth
with Light
in our darkness
revealing
am imperishable
Glory
that lives
and breathes
within each
created thing
for any
and all
who have eyes
to see
yet even
the sight itself
a gift
we have no claim
only
to be

Can you see it?

Acts 4:32-37; Psalm 93:1-5; John 3:7-15

soaring
with the Holy Spirit
we see
from above
a wider vision
given
as a gift
that we give
to one another
in generosity
one mind
one heart
all needs
are fulfilled
as we hold
no claim
or possession
in our common life
in God
as love

Do you soar with the Holy Spirit?
Have you been given a wider vision?

Isaiah 7:10-14;8:10; Psalm 40:7-11; 2Hebrews 10:4-10; Luke 1:26-38

an angelic
appearance
a moment
of grace
a reassurance
of fearlessness
a promise
of thrones
and kingdoms
entices
a young girl
to believe
and carry
a child
of the Holy Spirit
to a waiting world
with a message
of God with us
and love
as God’s will
and justice
leaving
sacrifice
and sin-offering
behind

What is it to be full of grace?
What is it to know and do God’s will?

Acts 5:12-16; Psalm 118:2-4 13-15, 22-24; Rev. 1:9-13, 17-19; John 20: 19-31

do not persist
in unbelief
touch
and see
His wound
and rejoice
in the signs
and wonders
the healing power
breathed
in spirit
to us
with Him
risen
we have
new life from
He who holds
the key
to death
first and last
the one who lives
how wonderful it is
in our eyes
we were hard pressed
and fallen
yet in Him
we are raised up
in mercy
He has become
our strength
and courage
as we live the mercy
we have been given
we give thanks
for His goodness

Do we breathe the spirit of the risen Christ?
Do we live the spirit of the risen Christ?
Are we blessed to believe even though we have not seen?

Acts 4:1-12; Psalm 118:1-2 and 4, 22-17; John 21:1-14

guiding us
to abundant
life
with unbounded
mercy
even as some
are disturbed
by His goodness
we recognize Him
in the bread
that is broken
that nourishes
our soul

Where do you recognize Him?
