Acts 25:13-21; Psalm 103:1-2,11-12,19-20; John 21:15-19

the one
who was thought
to be dead
is alive
in the love
we proclaim
in the feeding
and tending
we do
seeing
another way
of Life
in the Holy Spirit
that cannot
be bought
or sold
contained
or controlled
by human means
an immeasurable
justice
called mercy
an immeasurable
kindness
called Love

Do you experience Him alive?

Acts 22:30; 23:6-11; Psalm 16:1-11; John 17:20-26

deep within us
the love
of God
resides
showing us
a path
of Life
where all
are One
far beyond
the world’s
strife
and peril
yet close
at hand
a Glory given
in the silent
workings
of the day to day
seen
by all
who would dare
to look
and surrender
heart and soul
to God’s truth

Our heart and soul rejoices in God’s love!

Acts 20:28-38; Psalm 68:29-36; John 17:11B-19

we live
in the power
that is God’s alone
each breath
belonging
to Him
we give
and receive
singing
a song of praise
for the goodness
within our reach
each moment
that is justice
we pray
for one another
that we not
be lead astray
but remain
always
in God’s Truth

Do you pray always?

Acts 20:17-27; Psalm 68:10-11, 20-21; John 17:1-11

He has shown
a clear path
and He calls it
love
love of self
love of neighbor
love of enemy
and we ask
what is this love
that demands
so much good
wrapped
in kindness
and compassion
enduring beyond
all human cruelty
forgiving all
embracing all
we see beyond
our own means
to find it
living in
the divine will
we find
the Glory
of God

What is this love that demands so much good?

Acts 19:1-8; Psalm 68:2-7; John 16:29-33

in a world
of trouble
we have
a place
to go
Holy Spirit
of God
leading us
to a different path
of steadfast
and transforming
Love
conquering
a world of hate
and violence
we surrender all
His cross
and open door

How has the Holy Spirit conquered the world?

Acts 7:55-60; Psalm 97: 1-9; Rev 22: 12-20; John 17: 20-26

tree of life
morning star
we come
thirsty
to drink
of Life
and become one
with the Love
from which we came
revealed to us
from One who
knew God’s love
and God’s glory
as a Father
and Son
no stones can kill
what we have seen
the Spirit arises
to Truth
even those who would kill
will be forgiven
when the light reveals
and a path
is set straight
we see the unity
of All
completed in God’s love
alpha and omega
first and last
beginning and end

How do you know love without His presence?
How do you experience our unity?
How do you forgive those who would kill you?

Acts 18:23-28; Psalm 47:2-3,8-9,10; John 16:23-28

coming
to believe
through grace
we bring
our needs
to God
trusting
in God’s Presence
and action
in our life
Holy Spirit
to guide us
we listen
attentively
to God’s answer
for our life
knowing
we will receive

Do you ask God knowing that you will receive?

Acts 18:9-18; Psalm 47:2-7; John 16:20-23

as a woman
in labor
leaves her pain
as she embraces
the joy
of new life
so we
embrace
our joy
in God
a joy
that cannot
be taken from us
leaving
our fears
we sing
we praise
we know
who we are
in God’s love

Do you know who you are in God’s love?

Acts:1:1-11; Psalm 47:2-3,6-9; Ephesians 1:17-23; Luke 24:46-53

ascending
He gathers us
into a higher love
far beyond
every principality
authority
power
or dominion
the eyes
of our heart
are enlightened
by God’s Holy Spirit
as it shines
over all
the earth
we sing
and rejoice
in awe
of what we see

How do you experience His ascension?

Acts 17:15,22-18:1; Psalm 148: 1-2, 11-14; John 16:12-15

from One
we are made
the human race
to dwell
among
all that is
in the Love
that breathes us
day to day
demanding
only that we know
who we are
giving up
the idolatry
of things
of our own hands
seeing
and hearing
the voice
of our creator
living in God’s justice…
God’s love
of All

Have you given up the idolatry of things?
