Ephesians 3:14-21; Psalm 33:1-5,11-12,18-9; Luke 12:49:53

strengthened
with power
through
His Spirit
within
our inner self
our hearts
are designed
for God’s justice
goodness
and hope
in kindness
we are ablaze
in the autumn glory
of God’s love
even as we
experience
harsh divisions
we hope
in his healing
as we send roots
deeply
into Christ’s love
where
we imagine
the unimaginable

How do we heal our divisions?

Ephesians 3:2-12; Isaiah 12:2-6; Luke 12:39-48

awake
we see
God’s coming
Spirit’s
ever presence
Christ’s
healing power
strengthening us
encouraging us
moment
to moment
with joy
we draw water
from the springs
of salvation
our hearts
full of song
gratitude
and praise

Are you awake to God’s presence?

2Timothy 4:10-17; Psalm 145:10-18; Luke 10:1-9

sent out
to labor
lambs
among wolves
the harvester
carries
no money
no sack
no sandals
depending
on the kindness
of strangers
curing the sick
revealing
a kingdom
of God
within
and among us
to all who
have eyes
to see

What do you depend on?

Eph 2:1-1-; Psalm 100:1-5; Luke 12:13-21

turning
our lives
from greed
possession
and impulse
we become
rich
in what matters
to God
from a grace
given freely
an immeasurable
kindness
and mercy
that flows
through our work
day by day
as we love
and provide
what each moment
needs
not giving in
to what divides us
but what unites us
in love

What matters to God?
Do you accept the grace given freely?

Exodus 17:8-13; Psalm 121:1-8; 2Timothy 3:14-4:2; Luke 18:1-3

call out
to God
day
and
night
with
hands raised
persist
in faith
persist
in prayer
persist
in receiving
wisdom
from His word
support
one another
for Truth
for Love
welcoming
reproving
correcting
appealing
whether convenient
or inconvenient
so that He
might find
our faith
alive
on earth

Do you persist in prayer day and night
Do you help another?
Do you let another help you?

Ephesians 1:15-23; Psalm 8:2-7; Luke 12:8-12

void
of Spirit
provider
of forgiveness
we are left
helpless
in our anger
resentments
and ignorance
disregarding
Truth
even as we behold
the moon
and stars
the eyes
of our heart
are blinded
to wisdom
and love

What revelation will bring the dawn of God’s love?

Eph 1:11-14; Psalm 33:1-13; Luke 12:1-7

harboring
difficult
thoughts
we create
the leaven
of hypocrisy
letting go
of our fear
we open
to God’s presence
and receive
the purifying
light
saving us
from their destructive
power

How do we let go of our fear?

Eph 1:1-10; Psalm 98:1-6; Luke 11:47-54

the song
we sing
is not our own
written
by the hand
of another
for our hearts
when touched
by God’s love
coming
alive
with the joy
of new life
as we see
a glory given
a wisdom
received
as insight
into
the mystery
of His will
our saving
grace

What song do you sing?

Gal:5:18-25; Psalm 1:1-6; Luke 11:42-46

there is no law
when guided by Spirit
whose fruits are
love
joy
peace
patience
kindness
generosity
faithfulness
and self-control
guided away
from hateful
destructive
passions
we are like
a tree
planted
near running water
yielding
our fruit
in due season
turning toward
His Light

Do you live in the freedom of the Holy Spirit?

1Gal5:1-6; Psalm 119:41-48; Luke 11:37-41

meditating
on God’s law
and commands
the light
of mercy
shines through
we give alms
from a heart
set free
by a faith
working
through love
and experience
God’s living
word
acting
upon the world

How are you set free by God’s word?
