Acts 2: 14, 22-28;Psalm: 16: 1-2, 5, 7-11 1 Peter: 17-21; Luke 24: 13-35

hidden
in plain sight
he walks
with us
informs us
guides us
even as we are blind
unknowing
unaware
he sets us on
the path of life
our sojourn
to freedom
in a strange land
delivered
from futility
in one moment
bread raised up
our hearts
and mind
open
to the joy
of the Lord
risen
alive
saving us
from all
that leads
to death
even
death
itself

Do you follow his path to life?
Have you entered the joy of the Lord?
Do you see him hidden in plain sight?

Acts 6:1-7; Psalm 33:1-2,4-5; 18-19; John 6:16-21

we celebrate
and give thanks
with song
and chant
as we place
all of our trust
in God
who offers
justice
and right
through love of all
delivered
from death
famine
and fear
we embrace
and live
through
the Holy Spirit

Do you celebrate God’s love in music?

Acts 5:34-42; Psalm 27: 1,4,13-14; John 6:1-15

coming from God
nothing
can stop
the flow
from the abundance
of Goodness
offered
no man
no idol
no sickness
no death
no sin
too great
for grace to enter
a heart sincere
in its wanting
and courageous
in its waiting

Are you sincere in your wanting of God’s goodness?

Acts 5:27-33; Psalm 34:2,9,17-20; John 3:31-36

coming
from heaven
with a word
from God
unrationed Spirit
from above
to be close
to the brokenhearted
and those crushed
in spirit
hearing our cries
he offers
a refuge
and path
leading us beyond
anger and doubt
to a place of patience
trust
and care
we taste
and see
the goodness
of the Lord

Can you get your anger to a place of patience and kindness?

Acts 5:17-26; Psalm 34:2-9; John 3:16-21

our cries
heard
we are prisoners
set free
we bless
and praise God
in the everyday
of our lives
following
His Light
to Truth
knowing
His way
is for saving
not condemning

Can you see through the darkness of your life to the Light?
Can you allow His love to set you free?

1Peter 5:5-14; Psalm 89: 2-17; Mark 16:15-20

forever
I will sing
the goodness
of the Lord
we cast
our worries
upon Him
because He cares
for us
and provides
love and strength
and guidance
for all we must face
in the world
that challenges us
everyday

Do you cast your worries upon the Lord?
Does He answer you with Love and Strength and guidance?

Acts 4:23-31; Psalm 2:1-3,4-7,7-9; John 3:1-8

born again
from above
in Spirit
and Truth
we see
new eyes
each day
we work
and have our Being
with new strength
caring for ourselves
and others
with kindness
even as we are challenged
we gather courage
against the storms
of suffering
and death
as the Spirit
works and prays
within us

How do you respond to the Holy Spirit within you?

Acts 2:42-47; Psalm 118:2-4,13-15;22-24; 1Peter 1:3-9; John 20:19-31

unseen
we believe
in the Holy Spirit
given
in communion
for our sake
strength
and courage
as we face
inevitable trials
and suffer
in this boundary
of time
we believe
in a promise given
a sacrifice made
a faith held
in a place for us
imperishable
undefiled
and unfading
a heaven
for us
opened by
an infinite
divine mercy
a place of peace

Are your open to the Spirit’s strength and courage for the journey?
Are you open to Divine Mercy?

Acts 4:12-21; Psalm 118:1,14-21; Mark 16:9-15

seeing
hearing
we go forth
with Good News
unable
to not speak
of what we have seen
and heard
God alive
 among us
present now
to relieve
our sin
suffering
and death
giving strength
and courage
opening the gates
of justice
God’s love of all
we give thanks
and rejoice
for God has answered
all of our prayers

How has God answered your prayer?
Do you share your Good News?

Acts 4:1-12; Psalm 118:1-2,22-27; John 21:1-14

why
this name only
in our salvation
no other
to bring us
healing
and light
mercy
and goodness
rising
from death
He meets us
in the world
providing
abundance
to our meager efforts
He feeds us
a bread of Life
even as we are held
in suspicion
for His power
within us
we cannot deny
the Truth
we have seen

This is the day the Lord has made.
Rejoice and be glad in it.

Why His name only?
