Daniel:1-6,8-20; Daniel 3:52-56; Luke 21:1-4

from our wealth
and poverty
we give everything
withholding
nothing
from the God
who gives us
All
knowing
that all we have
is for a Glory
greater
than our own
a Love
a Light
for All

What do you give?

Ezekiel 34: 11-12, 15-17; Psalm 23; 1-6; Corinthians 15: 20-28; Matt: 25: 31-46

scattered sheep
we are lost
hungry
thirsting
naked
and ill
in need
of a shepherd
a guide
crushed in our
loneliness
our tangled webs
we are found
by his gentle hands
refreshed
overflowing
we face
the enemy
in our self
and are raised
to life
we feed
we clothe
we care
we tend
as we were
cared for
spreading
and nurturing
the kingdom
of love

Do you see your need?
Do you see the needs of others?
Do you care for these needs as you have been cared for?

1Mc 6:1-13; Psalm 9:2-6,16 and 19; Luke 20:27-40

rejoicing
in the Lord
we are saved
from sin
and suffering
and death
as we enter
the mystery
of His Risen Life
embracing
the offered peace
as our way
and love
of all
as God’s desire

How do you experience the Risen Christ?

1Mc4: 36-37,52-59; 1Chr 29:1-12; Luke 19:45-48

the earth
intended
as a house
of prayer
becomes
a den of thieves
until He comes
to turn the tables
and those who see
and hear
hang on to every word
for Truth
to restore
God’s will
for love
to the world

Where do you turn for Truth?

Sir 50:22-24; Psalm 145:2-11; 1Cor 1:3-9; Luke 17:11-19

in all
circumstances
we give thanks
to our God
who offers
goodness
and love
joy
and peace
to our lives
keeping us firm
even as we feel weak
showing compassion
and kindness
that we return
this day

How are you thankful in all circumstances?

2Mc 7:1,20-31; Psalm 17:1-15; Luke 19:11-28

faithful
to God’s law
of love
we turn
from all
that would bring harm
in awe
of the author
of life
we cry out
for justice
for the poor
and the hungry
that their body
and soul
be fed
and that tyrants
be turned away
from power

How do you remain faithful to God’s law of love?

2Mc6:18-31; Psalm 3:2-7; Luke 19:1-10

hearing
the Truth
we make our way
to His words
following
the love
we have always
sought
not giving in
to what is false
in the world
we give freely
what has been given us
from God’s will
to love

How do you make your way to God?

1Mc:1:10-63; Psalm 119: 53,61,134, 150, 158; Luke 18:35-43

blind
we seek
for God’s love
where it cannot
be found
until the One
comes
to open our eyes
sensing
His Presence
we ask
and receive
given sight
and life
through
the channel of faith

Do you ask for sight?

Proverbs 31: 10-13, 19-20, 30-31; Psalm 128; 1 Thess 5:1-6; Mt 25: 14-30

people
of Light
we turn
from darkness
awake
to God’s
power
in our life
the work
of our hands
God’s love
reaching out
to the poor
the needy
to all
we give
generously
not hiding
our gifts
but sharing
with joy

Do you share your gifts generously?
Do you live in the light?

Wisdom 18:14-16; 19:6-9; Psalm 105: 2-3,36-37, 42-43; Luke 18:1-8

we pray always
without becoming weary
we persist
with patience
knowing
that love
and justice
will come
we live within
the courage
and confidence
of Faith
given
as God’s gift
and grace

Where will God find faith on the earth?
