Wisdom 3:1-9; Psalm 23:1-6; Romans 5:5-11; John 6:37-40

our souls
safe
in the hand of God
what looked
like death
and destruction
is not
for Spirit
and Truth
live beyond
in Love
we trust
and believe
in the Love
through His grace
and mercy
we endure

Do you feel safe?

Rev 7:2-4,9-14; Psalm 24: 1-6; 1John 3:1-3; Matthew 5:1-12

surviving
in time
of great distress
we see
His face
the face
of Love
blessing us
comforting us
showing mercy
we rejoice
and are glad
giving freely
what we have been given

Do you give freely what you have been given?

Romans 8:18-25; Psalm 126:1-6; Luke 13:18-21

a mustard seed
of love
placed
in our hearts
grows with
faith
and hope
into a place
of laughter
and rejoicing
as all the sorrows
and trials of life
are healed
as heaven
opens its gates

Are you nurturing the mustard seed of God’s love?

Romans 8:12-17; Psalm 68:2 and 4, 6-7, 10-21; Luke 13:1-17

bent over
by the burden
of our infirmities
we meet the One
who can set us free
through His Spirit
of love
we are raised up
from death
living beyond
the law
into the Spirit
of Truth
that guides
our way
for this we give
thanks and praise
everyday

Have you been set free?

Exodus 22: 20-16; Psalm 18: 2-51; Thess 1: 5-10; Mt. 22: 34-40

our whole heart
our whole soul
our whole mind
in love
with God
living
and breathing
in God’s
strength
we love
one another
from this wellspring
showing justice
and mercy
and compassion
as we
have been
shown

Do love God with your whole heart, your whole soul, your whole mind?
Do you love your neighbor as yourself?
Do you show justice and mercy?

Eph 2:19-22; Psalm 19:2-3,4-5; Luke 6:12-16

spending
the night in prayer
the words of love
come from God
to show us
who we are
one life
held together
by the bonds
of the Holy Spirit
uniting
in a way
we have yet to understand
day pours out
the word to day
night imparts knowledge
with a message
for those who would hear

What do you hear?

Romans 7:18-25; Psalm 119: 66,68,76,77,93,94; Luke 12:54-59

Grace
given
is all we need
for our life
for it is God’s Love
working in us
teaching wisdom
showing Goodness
Forgiveness
and Compassion
we see the Light
of His Love
rising in our life
each day
we give thanks
for what we have
been given
and share the joy
of our being

Do you accept His grace?
Do you have the courage to forgive everything and be joyful?

Romans 6:19-23; Psalm 1:1-6; Luke 12:49-53

the earth
on fire
with a dividing love
separates us
from all misperception
forcing us
to ask
what Truth
we follow
and what is written
in our heart
once answered
we know
who we are

Who are you?

Romans 6:12-18;  Psalm 124:1-8; Luke 12:39-48

love undeserved
given
as grace
for itself
and for our help
against all
that would misguide
we stay awake
to His Presence
grateful
for our freedom
grateful
for Life
raised from death–
our weapon
our defense
is our faith
standing firm
standing watch
a peaceful gaze
waiting
for the dawning light
to bring us home

Are you ever awake to God’s presence?

Romans 5:12-20; Psalm 40:7-17; Luke 12:35-38

God’s law
of Love
written in our hearts
brings joy
to our life
even as we face
our sorrows
we see His light
shining
and we serve
the Beauty we see
trusting
whole-heartedly
that God’s will
is for the Goodness
of All

How do you serve God’s love everyday?
