Acts 9: 1-20; Psalm 117: 1,2; John 6: 52-59

stopped
cold
on our journey
a light
a voice
that speaks
the Truth
of who we are
no longer
persecutors
of one another
we live in
one spirit
one Holy Spirit
eating
and drinking
we live
on a food
eternal
given in
and for
love

What stops you on your journey?
What is being asked of you?

Acts 8: 26-40; Psalm 66:3-20; John 6: 44-51

seeking
an answer
we hear
a name
above all others
that calls
to us
from one
who gives
life to our souls
living bread
eternal vision
Jesus
He says
“follow”
baptized
in his living water
we follow
the Holy Spirit
given as our guide

How do you Understand?
How do we know what you are reading?
Who will instruct you?

Acts 8: 1b-8; Psalm 66: 1-7; John 6: 35-40

you call us
home
to God
creator
whose will
is our good
to live there
in our
day to day
even as
a world
persecutes
His message
His Spirit lives
and is our strength
our joy
our song

What is your song?

Acts 7:52-8:1;Psalm 31:3-21; John 6: 30-35

what bread
from heaven
will feed us
and give our lives
love and meaning
within the world’s chaos
when hearts
are closed
to the Holy Spirit
and we are lost
to our sacred purpose
killing what would bring life

yet somehow
a stilled heart
opens to the voice
of angels
prophets
and friend
piercing the shield
of our anxiety
and our ignorance
is forgiven
as we are given
refuge
shelter
and new life
with Him

How is Jesus the bread of life for you?

Acts 6:8-15; Psalm 119: 23-30; John 6: 22-29

sent
by God
through
the Holy Spirit
He walks
among us
showing
a way
to work
not for bread
that perishes
but for the food
that endures

What is this food that endures?

Luke 24:35-48

“Why are you troubled?
Why do questions arise in your heart?”
look
see Him
and let peace
be with you
He has risen
repentance
and forgiveness
are here
in His name
for all
who can see
a Glory shines
from heaven
over all the earth

“Why are you troubled?
Why do questions arise in your heart?”

Acts 6: 1-7; Psalm 33 1-5, 18-19; John 6: 16-21

busy
with our tasks
we forget
the word
of God
to love
and care
for all
in justice
caught in
our storms
of fear
and panic
we are lost
until one
appears
to calm
our fear
and guide us
and show us
the way
to serve
mindful
always
of our
sacred purpose

What is your sacred purpose?

Acts 5: 34-42; Psalm 27: 1, 4, 13-14; John 6: 1-15

living
in the house
of the Lord
we gaze
on loveliness
a welcome
refuge
we live
in a courage
not our own
a light
shared
a salvation
given
from God
it cannot
be destroyed
we have
all we need
for each other
we give thanks
and share

Where do you live?
Do you share what you have?

Acts 5: 27-33; Psalm 34: 2-20; John 3:31-36

alive
within me
I know
your voice
your love
your guidance
my crushed spirit
you saved
close to my
broken heart
you healed me
you heard
my cry
and answered
I take
refuge in you
you guard me
from evil
a prayer
of gratefulness
for you is
always
on my lips

How is He alive in you?

Acts 5: 17-26; Psalm 34: 2-9; John 3: 16-21

though imprisoned
by the jealousy
of others
who thought
they knew
God frees them
ever responding
to the needs
that cry out…

for those who hear
for those who see
a light has shone
in their darkness
and they are
radiant with joy

Do you hear?
Do you see?
Are you radiant with joy?
