Acts 13:44-52; Psalm 98: 1,2-4; John 14:7-14

living within
God’s commands
for love
we have everything
we need
turning from idols
we experience
God’s presence
among us
healing us
and guiding us
in ways
we could not imagine
we sing
for joy
in this new life
found
and share
all we have

How has experienced God’s presence changed you?

Acts 9.26-31; 1 John 3.18-24; John 15.1-8)

we grow
into the vine
of God’s love

fed
we bear
the fruits
of God
by loving
one another
in deed
and truth
beyond all
of our sins
beyond all
our divisions
we see
what God
who is greater than
our hearts
can do and forgive

in Him
our souls
find peace

How much can you forgive?
What are the fruits of your love?

Acts 13: 44-52; Psalm 98: 1-4; John 14: 7-14

shaking
the dust
from our feet
we leave
behind
jealousy
and persecution
entering
a new life
a new song
of goodness
and kindness
lead by the Holy Spirit
we have confidence
asking
for what we need
in His name

What do you ask for in His name?

Acts 13:26-33; Psalm 2:6-11; John 14: 1-6

do not
let your heart
be troubled
you who know
and serve God
who in
humbleness
see the path
set before you
by the one
who came
to save
there is your dwelling place
your home
in goodness
and love

By what is your heart troubled?
Do you see the path set before you?
Where do you find your dwelling place?

Acts 13: 13-25; Psalms 89: 2-3, 21-22; 25-27; John 13: 16-20

as morning light
dawns
we sing of
God’s goodness
mercy
and kindness
faithful
even as the earth quakes
and wars ravage
for we know you
and you know us
a presence
among us
calling us
to vigilance
guiding us
to the path
of life
and love
that we seek
heeding your warnings
of betrayal
we stay
with you

Of what goodness do you sing?

1Peter 5:5-14; Psalm 89:2-3,6-7,16-17; Mark 16:15-20

living
in the Light
of God’s
expression
of love
we speak
a language
of kindness
and compassion
ever vigilant
of shadows
that might darken
our way
living
simply
and humbly
in the Joy
of the Lord

How do you living simply and humbly?
How do you share God’s good news?
Do you sing the goodness of the Lord?

Acts 11: 19-26; Psalm 87: 1-3, 4-5, 6-7; John 10: 22-30

hearing
His voice
we are filled with
the Holy Spirit
we see
the grace of God
and rejoice
encouraging
one another
to firmness
of heart
working
for love
justice
and mercy
in His name

Where do you see the grace of God?

Acts 11: 1-18; Psalm 42: 2-3, 43: 3,4; John 10: 1-10

we listen
we hear
a voice
manifests
who knows us
and guides us
to goodness
one heart
one mind
even in all
of our diversity
gatekeeper
of heaven
among us
you tends
and guards us
against
all who might
try to steal
what belongs
to all…
the love of God

What is the voice you hear?

Acts 4.8-12; Ps. 118:1, 8-9, 21-23, 26,21,19; John 3.1,2; John 10, 11-18)

we build our lives
on this cornerstone
that was rejected
by the world’s power
a foundation
of saving grace
and mercy
laid down
beneath
our crippled lives
we are healed
and hear the voice
the one
who worked
for love
laying down
His life
freely
this love
we will follow
no longer trusting
human frailty
and princes
children of God
we know
who we are
and follow

What is it to hear the voice of God?
To hear the voice of Jesus?
To hear the Holy Spirit?

Acts 9:31-42; Psalm 116:12-17; John 6:60-69

leaving all
anxiety
we go forth
into this new life
we have come to know
as the peace of Christ
a serenity
the world cannot give
lifted up
by the Holy Spirit
we are given
all we need
and ask
how shall we return
all the good
that has been shown us?

How shall we return all the good that has been shown us?
