Sixth Sunday of Easter
Acts 10.25,26,34,35,44-48; Ps 98:1, 2-4; 1 John 7-10; John 15.9-17

God of all
undivided
spirit
poured out
on an undivided
world
a new song
is sung
of justice
of kindness
of faithfulness
from hearts
so filled
with joy
from knowing a God
who truly
loves us
who loves
ALL
from the beginning
friend of God
chosen
only to love
we lay down
our lives
for this

Do we see God’s love for all as justice?

Acts 16: 1-10; Psalm 100: 1-5; John 15: 18-21

Holy Spirit
Of God
guide
of our steps
our coming
and going
we journey
with you
in a joy
and peace
the world
cannot give
though persecution
may come
we remain
faithful
to the love
we have found
through
His name

Who is your guide?

Acts 15: 22-31; Psalm 7: 8-12; John 15: 12-17

we will
Wake
the dawn
with song
and praise
for the love
that lights
each day
beyond
the world’s
burden
that disturbs
the peace
of mind
the love
that breathes us
to life
for this
we lay down
our lives
for each other

Do you wake the dawn with song and praise?

Acts 15: 7-21; Psalm 96: 1-10; John 15: 9-11

remain
in Him
who knows
our hearts
and grants
our Spirit
that we may
love one another
with unselfish
concern
accepting
each other
in faith
seeking
each others good
that our joy
may be
complete

Do you accept each other in faith?

Acts 15: 1-6; Psalm 122: 1-5; John 15: 1-8

knowing
we are
a branch
of Him
sustained
by His vine
flowing
with the love
and grace
of God
we ask
for His will
of goodness
to be done
heaven
on earth
among us

Do you know yourself as of him?

Acts 14:19-28; Psalm 145:10-13,21; John 14:24-31

undergoing hardship
for our faith
we hear God’s words
of reassurance
“do not let your hearts
be troubled or afraid”
for He is with us always
in Spirit
an Advocate for us
we enter God’s presence
wholeheartedly
and confidently
letting all our works
give thanks

Do you allow the peace of Christ into your heart?

Acts 13:44-52; Psalm 98: 1,2-4; John 14:7-14

living within
God’s commands
for love
we have everything
we need
turning from idols
we experience
God’s presence
among us
healing us
and guiding us
in ways
we could not imagine
we sing
for joy
in this new life
found
and share
all we have

How has experienced God’s presence changed you?

Acts 9.26-31; 1 John 3.18-24; John 15.1-8)

we grow
into the vine
of God’s love

fed
we bear
the fruits
of God
by loving
one another
in deed
and truth
beyond all
of our sins
beyond all
our divisions
we see
what God
who is greater than
our hearts
can do and forgive

in Him
our souls
find peace

How much can you forgive?
What are the fruits of your love?

Acts 13: 44-52; Psalm 98: 1-4; John 14: 7-14

shaking
the dust
from our feet
we leave
behind
jealousy
and persecution
entering
a new life
a new song
of goodness
and kindness
lead by the Holy Spirit
we have confidence
asking
for what we need
in His name

What do you ask for in His name?

Acts 13:26-33; Psalm 2:6-11; John 14: 1-6

do not
let your heart
be troubled
you who know
and serve God
who in
humbleness
see the path
set before you
by the one
who came
to save
there is your dwelling place
your home
in goodness
and love

By what is your heart troubled?
Do you see the path set before you?
Where do you find your dwelling place?
