1Kings 8:1-7,9-13; Psalm 132:6-10; Mark 6:53-56

in dark clouds
of following
we come
to be healed-
healing for ourselves
and all those
we love
even our enemies
as we see God’s word
as life
long have we followed
with hearts
of endless need
seeking only
our daily bread
and God’s will
for love

To whom do you offer up to God’s healing touch?

Matthew 5:13-16

a light
that shines
within
drawn out
to meet another
drawn out
to meet
our God
we are guided
by this-
our prayers
for love
and healing
are answered
as we provide
each other
with sustenance
creating
a culture of Life
from a culture of death
we are the salt
of the earth

Are you guided by your inner light?

Mark 6:30-34

you came
with Compassion
and saw
our need
drawing us
into your rest
you taught
us God’s will
for Love
author
of Goodness
we follow
and share
the Goodness
that we
have been
given
praising
your name
for showing us
the way
to Love

Who do you follow?
How do you share?

Sirach 47:2-11; Psalm 18:31,47 and 50, 51; Mark 6:13-29

coming
to the morning
in darkness
we wait
for the dawn
in prayer
and are met
with sweet melodies
of praise
resounding
on earth’s altar
opening our hearts
to God’s generous Spirit
all is forgiven
as we see
the face of God
and live

Is your heart touched by God’s generous Spirit?

1Kings 2:1-4, 10-12; 1Chr 29:10-12; Mark 6:7-13

sent two by two
for the journey
with nothing
but our faith
and trust in God
that all
we need
will be provided
as we love God
with our whole heart
and soul
we go
where we are welcome
and shake the dust
from our feet
where we are not
demons
flee from His presence
the sick
are cured

Do you trust God completely with your whole heart and soul?

2Samuel 24:2,9-17; Psalm 32:1-2,5-7; Mark 6:1-6

thinking
we know
we miss
God’s voice
in the familiar
wanting
to control
we plan against
God’s desire
until
in a light
of awareness
we see
and are struck
with a great sorrow
that becomes
mercy

Have you missed God’s voice in the familiar?

Mark 5:21-43

through
the eyes of God
equal in love
and being
“those who have much
do not have more
and whoever have little
did not have less”
and in awe
we reach out
in our affliction
knowing one touch
one word
can heal
bringing all of our suffering
all of our loss
to an end
we believe
and live in
His words
“do not be afraid
just have faith”

Has your faith saved you?

 Mark 5: 1-20

healed
of his tormenting
spirits
the man
went off
and began
to proclaim
what Jesus
had done
for him

What has Jesus done for you?

Mal 3:1-4; Psalm 24:7-10; Hebrews 2:14-18; Luke 2:22-40

we wait
in the temple
of our hearts
for the messenger
the promised one
revealed
by the Holy Spirit
who will fulfill
our hearts desire
for love
and peace

even as our hearts
are pierced
we endure
the day
of His coming
through mercy
the way a brother
and sister comes
to us
in love

What has the Holy Spirit revealed to you?

2Samuel 12:1-7a, 10-17; Psalm 51:12-17; Mark 4:35-41

we see
who we are
through wisdom’s mirror
in need
of a renewed spirit
we pray
for a willing spirit
to sustain us
and bring back
our joy

caught
in the storm
we are tossed
and turned
by our fears
and anxiety
crying out
we hear
“Be still”
and all that seemed
beyond us
that is beyond us
is calmed

facing all
with God
we learn
mercy
and grace

What has taught you mercy and grace?
