Matthew 18:21-19:1

living
in God’s mercy
we learn
to forgive
over and over
as we leave
our ignorance
and enter
God’s slowly
revealing truths
of infinite love
that opens doors
in our minds
and hearts
to another way
forgetting
the past
and embracing
God’s ever
presence

How do you forgive everything?

Dt 34:1-12; Psalm 66:1-3,5,8,16-17; Matthew 18:15-20

come
and see
the works
of God
shout joyfully
sing praise
be reconciled
to all
listening
for God’s word
in all things
living always
in awareness
of His presence
seeing
through
His ageless eyes
to peace

Will you come and see?

Feast of St. Lawrence
2Cor 9:6-10; Psalm 112:1-9; John 12:24-26

generously
we sow
the seed we are given
dying
as a grain
of wheat
to an old life
to be born
again
into a new life
where
the light
of God’s glory
shines
and we follow
a way
we know
as Truth
built
on God’s steadfast love

Do you sow your seed generously?

Dt 10:12-22; Psalm 147:12-20; Matthew 17:22-27

in loving
and serving God
with our whole heart
our whole soul
our whole mind
and loving
our neighbor
as ourselves
we fulfill
life’s purpose
for us
seeing within
and without
God’s goodness
creating a life
as it was
called to be

How do you show God’s love?

Kings 19:4-8; Psalm 34: 2-9; Ephesians 4:30-5:2, John 6:41-51

suffering and
weary
reaching for death
we are fed
by the bread
of angels
strengthened
we walk to
God’s holy mountain
where we
taste and see
the goodness of the Lord-
hands outstretched
for our
bread of Life
manna of Jesus
we eat
nourished
we release
our bitterness
passion and anger
harsh words
and malice of every kind
we turn to kindness
compassion
forgiveness
and follow the way of love

Do you let yourself be fed by the angels?
Do you let yourself be fed by the bread of life?
Do you release yourself into love?

Dt 6:4-13; Psalm 18:2-4, 47-51; Matthew 17:14-20

a mustard seed
of faith
grows
into a faith

that moves
the mountain
opening a path
to freedom
in the One
who shows us
all love
and creation
as a mercy
and justice
belonging
to all
people
this we pass on
to our children
a legacy
of love

Do you pass God’s love onto your children?

The Transfiguration
Dn 7:9-10,13-14; Psalm 97:1-2,5-6,9; 2Peter 1:16-19; Mark 9:2-10

as the day
dawns
and the
morning star
rises
in our hearts
we see
the light
of who
we are
one
with Him
in God’s glory
a gift
of awe
and wonder
of a love
and power
beyond
our imagining
that no word
or thought
can capture

Do you see God’s transforming light?

Matthew 16:13

Jesus asks
“Who do you say I am?”

Who do you say He is?
How does the answer change you?

Numbers 13:1-2,25-14:1,26-29,34-35; Psalm 106:6-7,13-14,21-23;
Matthew 15:21-28

persistent
in our faith
we go
to the One
who heals
bringing
all our hopes
and fears
sorrows
and prayers
believing
in the power
that saves
not accepting any rebuke
we ask
and receive

Are you persistent in your faith?
Where do you go for healing?

Matthew 14:22-36

facing the storm
we cry out
for help
and He answers
walking across
our troubled waters
he reaches out
His hand
to our need
and our fear
asking only
for faith
to sustain us

Do you have faith to sustain you?
