1Tim 1:15-17; Psalm 113:1-7; John 14:23

from the rising
of the sun
to its setting
we look
to the God
of love
and mercy
setting a firm foundation
that will not be shaken
planting deep roots
to bear good fruit
storing all God’s goodness
in our heart
to share
with those in need
praying
always
praising
always

What is your foundation?
Has it been shaken?

1Timothy 1:1-2,12-14; Psalm 16:1-2, 5, 7-8, 11; Luke 6:39-42

leaving
ignorance
we follow
the one
who knows
the love
of God
not seeing
our faults
in another
but in
ourselves
we seek
counsel
in the place
of mercy
and
are shown
the path
to life
and joy

Have you been shown the path of life?
Who is your teacher?

1Cor 8:1-7, 11-13; Psalm 139:1-3,13-14, 23-24; Luke 6:27-38

being known
in our inmost being
by God
we are shown
a love
that surpasses

our understanding
and knowledge

putting on
heartfelt compassion,
kindness,

humility,
gentleness,
and patience,
bearing with one another

and forgiving one another–
a love
that extends
even to our enemies
that gives
beyond our measures
that lives
beyond our judgement
as it embraces
all of life

We stand in awe of this love.

Romans 8:28-30; Psalm 13:6AB,6C; Matthew 1:1-16, 18-23

conforming
to His image
all things
work
for good
for those
who love God–
predestined–
called–
justified–
glorified–
we live
according
to God’s purpose
God’s love
for all
we rejoice
and say “yes”
to each
invitation
of grace

How do you respond to God’s invitation?

Col 2:6-15; Psalm 145: 1-11; Luke 6:12-19

walking
with Jesus
rooted
in Jesus
our faith
is built
and established
guiding us
from empty
and seductive ways
our hearts are open
our eyes are fixed
on God’s love
and compassion
for all
called by name
we follow
and are healed

Do you hear God calling your name?
How have you been healed?

Col 1:24-2:3; Psalm 62: 6-0; Luke 6:6-11

we stretch
out our hand
and are healed
by the one
in whom
all the
treasures
of wisdom
and knowledge
are hidden
who would
save life
rather
than destroy it
we are
brought
together
in love
chosen
to make
manifest
the Christ
in us
laboring
and struggling
with His power
working
within

Do you experience the power of Christ in you?

Isaiah 35:4-7; Psalm 146:1, 7-10; James 2:1-5; Mark 7: 31-37

burning sands
become pools
chosen poor
become rich
in faith
eyes and ears
are opened
to a wealth
beyond riches
we praise
the Lord
whose streams
burst forth
in deserts
to quench
our thirsting souls
to save us from
our fears
and hunger
setting us
free
from injustice
we live in God’s love
of all

Have your eyes been opened?
Have your ears heard?
Is your soul thirsting for Truth?

Col 1:21-23; Psalm 54:3-8; Luke 6: 1-5

not bound by law
but by love
we are reconciled
to God
all is sacred
and held
in reverence
firmly
grounded
in faith
as we persevere
keeping
all hope
in the Gospel
where
every creature
under heaven
preaches
the Good News
of God’s love

Do you see the sacredness of all God’s creation?
Are you bound by law or God’s love?

Col 1:15-20; Psalm 100:1-5;Luke 5:33-39

in troubled times
we dare
to sing
joyfully
and serve
with gladness
as we see love
among us
offering reconciliation
through
His cross
we are
made new
through
a love
a Presence
that holds
all things
together
in a kindness
that endures

Have you been made new through God’s love?
Do you serve with gladness?
How are you reconciled by His cross?

Luke 5:1-11

seeking mercy
we cast our nets
into deep waters
hoping to see
God’s goodness
and love
ready to leave
everything
to follow
and be strengthened
with patience
endurance
and joy
longing to share
the good news
of God’s will
God’s love of all
and be delivered
from the darkness

that surrounds us
no longer
afraid

Have you cast your net into the deep waters?
Are you ready to leave everything to follow?
