Rv 7:2-4,9-14; Psalm 24:1-6; 1Jn 3:1-3; Mt 5:1-12

seeking
the face
of God
we find Him
in the One
who comes
in blessing
of our poverty
of Spirit
our mourning
our meekness
our hunger
and thirst
for righteousness
peace
and purity
guiding us
through times
of great distress
we rest
from our burdens
in Him

Where do you find Him?
Where do you put your hope in time of great distress?

Romans 9:1-5; Psalm 147:12-15;19-20; Luke 14:1-6

hearing the voice
of Love
respond
with all
of your heart
and soul
and mind
serving the Goodness
you see
in any way
you can
great and small
all belongs
to the heart
of God

How do you serve the love and goodness you see?

Romans 8: 31-39; Psalm 109: 21-22,26-27, 30-31; Luke 13: 31-35

If God is for us
who can be against
for in all things
God’s love
will carry us
with generous mercy
where no distress
no anguish
death or peril
no present
or future thing
can separate us
as He gathers us
under His wing

Do you feel carried and protected by God’s love?

Luke 13:22-30

where is
this narrow gate
constricted road
that leads
to life
some cross
that calls us
through
its mysterious way
some mystical
birth canal
where we are
nourished
in God’s womb
then expelled
into the Light
of Knowing
spiritual senses
ignited
we live
in Heaven’s realm
of Love
tasting
and seeing
God’s Goodness
of All

Where is your narrow gate?
Will Jesus know you?
Is your hope in God’s mercy?

Ephesians 2:19-22; Psalm 19; Luke 6:12-16

His word
His message
pours out
to all the earth
drawing us
all together
into the
dwelling place
of God
in the Spirit
we are no longer strangers
no longer divided
we are
One
in the love
of Christ

Do you feel drawn into Christ’s love?

Romans 8:12-17; Psalm 68: 2,4,6,7,20-21; Luke 13:10-17

set free
of our
infirmity
and fear
we stand
in the saving
love
knowing
the Holy Spirit
that bears
witness
with our spirit
informing us
who we are
one in God’s family
caring
for one another
suffering
with one another
rejoicing
with one another

Is your home in God? How does God set you free?

Sirach 35:12–18; Psalm 34; 2 Timothy 4:6–8, 16–18; Luke 18:9–14

close to
the brokenhearted,
those crushed
in Spirit—
He saves.

the Lord
hears
the cry
of the poor,
not turning
a deaf ear
to the wail
of orphans,
to the plea
of widows.

our prayers
pierce the clouds,
not resting
until they reach
the heart of God.

humbled,
we know ourselves
as sinners,
and wait
for mercy.

not having done enough,
we turn
our lives
over to Love—
waiting in patience
for a justice
that knows
no favorites.

Do you hear the cries of the poor?
Do you know mercy?
Is God close to you when your Spirit is crushed?
When your heart is broken?

Romans 8:1-11; Psalm 24: 1-6; Luke 13:1-9

waking today
in His Presence
Holy Spirit
of Life and Love
we live
in the Grace
of Mercy
who nourishes
and cares
for our soul-
in a world of vengeance
we seek only
the face of Love
guiding our steps
to your Light
creating of world
in God’s peace

Who is your guide?

Romans 7:18=25; Psalm 119: 66,68,76,77,93,94; Luke 12:25-59

wanting
to do good
we do not
as something
wars within us
yet we are called
to see
in this moment
a wisdom
and knowledge
kindness
and compassion
a goodness
we come to know as
the will of God
written upon
our hearts
it is our delight
as it frees us
and saves us
to do the good
we long to do
in God’s love

Are you willing to do good but do not?
“Why do you not know how to interpret the present time?”
What sets you free?

Romans 6:19-23; Psalm 1:1-6; Luke 12:49-53

in a darkened
cynical
world
His words
set fire
igniting
our imaginations
with a passion
for Life
and Love
and goodness
beyond
what we have
ever known
loving enemies
returning good
for evil
forgiving all
healing all
we are set free
divided by choice
we choose
Life

Where do you find such a love?
