Mark 12:38-44

giving
from our surplus
we live
in our greed
not knowing
what is needed
for the journey-

nothing less
than everything

From where do you give?

2Timothy 3:10-17; Psalm 119:157-168; Mark 12:35-37
following
the way of purpose
patience
love
endurance
through our sufferings
we find
our peace
in Him
who knows
the way
claimed
by a Greater Love
of All
we enter
the joy
of the Lord

Does God’s love give you purpose?
Where do you find peace?

2Timothy2:8-15; Psalm 25:4-15; Mark 12:28-34

the word of God
alive
and free
teaching
challenging
and guiding
that we may know
the ways
of kindness
and constancy
loving God
with all
your soul
all of your mind
and all of your strength
and loving
our neighbor
as yourself

Does God’s word lead the way in your life?
How does it teach you to love your neighbor?
Who is your neighbor?

Memorial of Saint Charles Lwanga and Companions

2Timothy 1:1-3,6-12; Psalm 25: 2-9; Mark 12: 18-27

not through a Spirit
of cowardice
but of power
and love
and self-control
we are given
our lives
as a gift
for goodness

misled
by our culture
we lose sight
of our spiritual nature
we become
discouraged
despairing
in time
ready for death

then
a Light comes
in revelation
drawing us
to Truth
a saving grace
and we see
ourselves
anew
in the realm
of angels

Have you lost sight of your spiritual nature?
Are you guided by the gifts of the Spirit?

2Peter 3:12-15,17-18; Psalm 9-:2-4,10,14,16; Mark 12:13-17

filling us
at daybreak
with kindness
our hearts sing
for joy
and gladness
as we turn our minds
to God
serving with compassion
those in sorrow
hunger
or pain
joining
with those who rejoice
in God’s love
and presence

returning to God
what is God’s

Do you rejoice in God’s presence?
Do you follow the Holy Spirit for guidance?

Memorial of Saint Justin

2Peter1:2-7; Psalm 91:1-2,14-16; Mark 12:1-12

we surrender
to a divine power
that would
bestow on us
everything
that makes
a life
of devotion…
we supplement
our faith
with virtue;
virtue
with knowledge;
knowledge
with self-control;
self-control
with endurance;
endurance
with devotion;
devotion
with mutual affection;
mutual affection
with love

What is being asked of you?
Do you place your trust in God?

Exodus 34: 4-6,8-9; Daniel 3; 2 Cor 13: 11-13; John 3: 16-18

our merciful God
gracious
slow to anger
abounding
in steadfast
love and faithfulness
sending love
for our salvation
we open
our hearts
our minds
our bodies
our breath
to God’s
holy breath
Holy Spirit
condemned
no longer
we see
the Truth of love
we are free
to live
in peace
with all

How do you experience the grace of God?
How is the Holy Spirit alive in you?
How do you experience Jesus in your life?

Jude 17,20b-25; Psalm 63:2-6; Mark 11:27-33

what saving grace
will come to us
as we struggle
with violence
greed
and deception
from those who
have stolen authority

praying
with the Holy Spirit
we keep ourselves
in God’s love
living with
patience
for God’s mercy
to a waiting world
for we have seen
a Glory
that will not fail

Is your soul thirsting for God?
Do you pray with the Holy Spirit?
Are you held in God’s love?

Mark 11:11–26

not surprised
by a trial
by fire

we are healed
in the forgiving

that we may be forgiven

driving out
any currency
but Love

we offer
our gifts
freely
to one another
with the strength
God supplies

believing
that all
we ask for
in prayer
will be received
through God’s love

What do you ask for in prayer?
Do you believe you will receive?

1Peter2:2-5,9-12; Psalm 100:2-5; Mark 10:46-52

called out
of darkness
into
His wonderful
light
building
Trust
from a Love
that lasts
receiving
an unbearable
mercy
that we claim
in hope
and faith
we come
with joy
into
the Presence
of God
restored
to sight

Do you trust in God’s Presence?
Do you come with joy into God’s presence?
