we lose sight
of who we are
lost in the ordinary
we forget ourselves
and each other
called to be
much more
we need the prophets
to cry out
to wake us up
to remember
who we are
of God created
then fix our eyes there
in a plea for mercy
which generously comes
for our need
our weakness
is a moment of grace
where God’s power
lifts us up
to the love
to the dignity
and integrity
that is our strength
in God

Are your eyes fixed on God?
Do you trust God to make you strong in your weakness?
Do you open you heart to the prophets?
