Feast of the Presentation of the Lord

Mal 3: 1-4; Psalm 24: 7, 8, 9, 10; Hebrews: 2: 14-18; Luke: 2: 22-40

 one
we have longed for
who saves us
from our fear
of death
and the sin
that enslaves us
hearts opened
and revealed
we endure
the purifying
flame of love
and mercy
through His tested faith
and give thanks

Do you see His Glory?
Do you experience His saving power?
How are you guided by the Holy Spirit?

Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dt. 18: 15-20; Psalm 95:1-9; 1Cor 7:32-35; Mark 1:21-28

a prophet raised up
with God’s words
on his lips
speaks of love
and mercy
to hearts
that long to hear
driving out the demons
that keep us from knowing
who we are
our hearts and minds
are softened
opening to the Light
that surrounds us
with Love

and fills us
with song

What are you demons?
What happens to your heart when you hear God’s words of love and mercy?

Memorial of St. Timothy and Titus

2 Timothy 1: 1-8; Psalm 96: 1-10; Mark 3: 22-30

stir
the flames
of faith
given
by the Holy Spirit
who did not give
a spirit of
cowardice
but of power
self control
and love
once seen
cannot be
denied
we sing
of the glory
passed on
through
generations
living
now
in the deep roots
of God’s love and faith

What keeps your faith alive?
Does your faith have deep roots in God’s love?

Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul

Acts 22:3-16; Psalm 117:1,2; Mark 16:15-18

living
in our delusions
we separate
and persecute
thinking we know
what is right and good
until struck by the Light
of Grace
that reveals
the Truth
of Oneness
and Love
challenging
everything
we have ever believed
setting us free
for a new life
living
in peace
and harmony
in God’s Love
This is the Good News.

What light do you see?
Are you challenged by what you see?
How are you changed?
