Fifth Sunday of Easter

Acts 9.26-31; 1 John 3.18-24; John 15.1-8

we grow
into the vine
of His love
fed by the Holy Spirit
we bear
the fruits of God
loving one another
in deed
and truth
beyond all
of our sins
beyond all
our divisions
we see
what God
can give
and forgive-
in Him
our soul lives
and peace
finally comes.

What needs to be pruned from your life?
Can you forgive everything?
What are the fruits of your love?

Friday of the Fourth Week of Easter

Acts 13:26-33; Psalm 2:6-11; John 14: 1-6

do not
let your heart
be troubled
you who know
and serve God

in humbleness
see the path
set before you
by the one
who came
to save
there is your
dwelling place
your home
in goodness
and loving-kindness

beauty and Truth

By what is your heart troubled?
Do you see the path set before you?
Where do you find your dwelling place?
Do you live in the Joy of the Lord?

Thursday of the Fourth Week of Easter

Feast of St. Mark
1Peter 5:5-14; Psalm 89: 2-17; Mark 16:15-20

we speak the language
of compassion
with humility

and steadfast faith
singing
the goodness
of the Lord
casting
our worries
upon Him
the God of all grace
because He cares for us
providing
love and strength
and guidance
for all we must face
in the world
that challenges us
everyday

Do you cast your worries upon the Lord?
Do you speak the language of compassion?
Do you sing the goodness of the Lord?

Monday of the Fourth Week of Easter

Acts 11:1-18; Psalm 42:2-4; John 10:11-18

dreams
and visions
open our minds
to all that is
of God
nothing created
is profane
but ill intent–
with our soul
in longing
we hear His voice
and open our lives
to a love
that endures
laid down
and taken up
we enter
the joy
of the living God

Do you listen to your dreams?
Do you hear Gods’ voice?
What is your vision?
