Monday of the Eighth Week in Ordinary Time

1Peter1:3-9; Psalm 111:1-2,5-6,9-10; Mark 10:17-27

giving up our possessions
we enter the freedom of heaven
as we are no longer bound
by what possesses us
but by God’s goodness
a covenant offered
to All in justice
imperishable
undefiled
unfading
safeguarded by faith
we enter a love
more precious than gold

from His guiding commands
we are alive
giving thanks
praying always
with all of our heart
for all things
are possible in God

What possesses you?
Do you live in the goodness of God?
Do you cherish God’s good news?

Solemnity of the Holy Trinity

Dt. 4:32-34,39-40; Ps. 33:4-6,9,12, 18-22; Romans: 8: 14-17; Mt. 28:16-20)

we fix our heart on
the God of heaven
the God of earth
a voice
amidst the fire
and the strong hand
and outstretched arm
we understand
God’s commands for love
from the one who loves
justice and right
we are happy
as all are chosen
and live and breathe
with Him
knowing we are
children of God
lead away
from slavery to love
we teach what we have
come to know
in our heart
we are One

with the love of God
the love of Jesus
and the love of the Holy Spirit
who is with us always
until the end of the age

Where have you heard the voice of God?
