Thirty-third Sunday in Ordinary Time

Daniel 12:1-3;Ps 16:5-11; Hebrews 10:11-18; Mark 13:24-32

the heavens and earth
shall pass away
a darkened sun
a darkened moon
the stars fallen
in darkness
we are shaken
unsurpassed in distress
we cry for safety
we seek
the path of Life…
He is near
even at the door
four winds shall bring Him
the tree shall sprout
one sacrifice
one offering
in this
His love fulfilled
the dust of the earth
shall awake
the wise
shall shine brightly
those who lead
many to justice
shall shine
like stars
forever
the heavens and the earth
shall pass away
but His
word
shall not

Do you see the hour as “now”?
Who will show you the path of Life?
Is the God of love your hope?

Friday of the Thirty-second Week in Ordinary Time

2John 4-9; Psalm 119: 1-18; Luke 17:36-37

taken up
we experience
a love
that heals
the great divide
one in Christ
living among us
within us
all worldly powers
and enemies
disappear
in the silence
of God’s knowing
moving quietly
tending
nurturing
and giving hope
and courage
in times of distress
and fear

Where do you find hope and courage in these times of stress?
Do you experience God’s healing love?

Thirty-second Sunday in Ordinary Time

Kings 17:10-16; Ps 146: 7-10; Hebrews 9:24-28; Mark 12:38-44

from our want
we give God
all we have
as we follow
Christ
who gave all
with open heart
these jars of flour
these jugs of oil
shall not go empty
shall not be dry
as we
put our faith in
and praise Him
generous spirit
securing justice
protecting strangers
the widows
and fatherless
the naked
and hungry
He is our food
He gives us
Life

Is God’s word the food that gives you Life?
Do you give from a heart open to God’s love?

Saturday of the Thirty-first Week in Ordinary Time

1Ez: 47:11-12; Psalm 46: 2-3, 5-6, 8-0; Cor: 3:9C-11, 16-17; John 2: 3-22

we are
the temple of God
risen with Him
Spirit in-dwelling
cleansed of all
that would defile
we flow
with God’s living water
from this sanctuary
living in God’s will
that all should live
and flourish
with God in our midst
we shall not
be disturbed
God is our help
at the break
of dawn
we rejoice
at the astounding things
God has wrought
upon the earth

Do you experience yourself as the temple of God?
