Thirty-second Sunday in Ordinary Time

Macc 7: 1-2, 9-14; Psalm 17:1,5-6,8,15; 2; Thess 2:16-3:5; Luke 20:27-38

God
of the living
we enter
your eternal life
no longer
given to death
and suffering
of this life
even
as we die
at the hands
of men
we are restored
in you
delivered
from confusion
delivered
from evil
your faith
strengthens
and guides us
you rule
our heart
with love
content
in your presence
our joy is full
in the shadow
of your wing

Are you consoled and strengthen by God?
Are you willing and ready to give your life to God?
Do you see yourself resurrected?

Saturday of the Thirty-first Week in Ordinary Time

Phil 4:10-19; Psalm 112:1-9; Luke 16:9-15

in need
and abundance
in hunger
and well fed
we know
how to live
and find
our way
to what empowers
with steadfast heart
in God’s love
we do not fear
and give
where there is need
not succumbing
to mammon’s power
but using wealth
for good
even in little things
we find reward
as we build trust
in God’s care
and compassion

Do you know how to live in need and abundance?

All Souls Day

Wisdom 3:1-9; Psalm 23:1-6; Romans 5:5-11; John 6:37-40

a stillness
that looks
like death
is not
as our soul rests
in the hand
of God
even as we walk
through
this valley
of darkness
we have no fear
for God is with us
in a love
poured out
into our hearts
living
in a hope
that will not disappoint

Do you live in the hope that will not disappoint?

Solemnity of All Saints

Rv 7:2-4,9-14; Psalm 24:1-6; 1Jn 3:1-3; Mt 5:1-12

seeking
the face
of God
we find Him
in the One
who comes
in blessing
of our poverty
of Spirit
our mourning
our meekness
our hunger
and thirst
for righteousness
peace
and purity
guiding us
through times
of great distress
we rest
from our burdens
in Him

Where do you find Him?

Thirty-first Sunday in Ordinary Time

Wisdom 11:22-12:3; Psalm 145 1-2, 8-14; 2 Thess 1: 1-22, Luke 19: 1-10

imperishable spirit
in all things
compassionate
kind
lover
of souls
you spare
all things-
grain
from a balance
a drop
of morning dew
before you
the smallness
of our being
cries out
we climb
to sycamore heights
to hear
to see
a sight
of Him
who seeks
to save us
He calls
us down
we follow
faith
of Abraham

Do you seek the God who seeks you?
Do you accept the gift?
Do you give the gift given you?
