Wednesday of the Fourth Week of Easter

Acts 1:15-17,20-26; Psalm 113:1-8; John 15:9-17

all
are chosen
to receive
the words
of love
from God
as seeds planted
to grow
in our hearts
and minds

and fashion
our ways
of being
with one another
bringing
a joy
that is complete
as we remain in
and trust in
His friendship
and Love

Do you experience the joy of receiving and giving God’s love?
Do you trust in the one who knows your heart?
Do you see Jesus as your friend?

Monday of the Fourth Week of Easter

Acts 11:1-18; Psalm 42:2-4; John 10:11-18

dreams
and visions
open our minds
to all that is
of God
nothing created
is profane
but ill intent–
with our soul
in longing
we hear His voice
and open our lives
to a love
that endures
laid down
and taken up
we enter
the joy
of the living God

Do you listen to your dreams?
Do you hear Gods’ voice?
What is your vision?

Fourth Sunday of Easter

Acts 13:14, 43-52; Psalm 100: 1-5; Rev 7: 9-17; John 10: 27-3

hearing
God’s voice
we long to follow

the one
who will lead us
through
every trial
showing
the way

through our great distress
and finding shelter
in Him
knowing
no hunger
knowing
no thirst
drinking
of living water
never to be snatched
from God’s hand
resting
secure
and able to share with
one another
in joy

What is your longing?
Do you hear His voice?
Do you follow His way?

Friday of the Third Week of Easter

Acts 9:1-20; Psalm 117:1,2; John 6:52-59

stopped
in the bright light
of awareness
our life
is questioned
in every possible way
our searching
our relationship
to others
ourselves
to the Holy Spirit
being touched
deeply
by God
by our Being
it is as though
scales fall from our eyes
and we awaken
from a dream
no longer alone
or apart
but a part
of a living
loving
God

How has God shined His light on you?
What do you see?

Tuesday of the Third Week of Easter

Acts 7:52-8:1;Psalm 31:3-21; John 6: 30-35

what bread
from heaven
will feed us
and give our lives
love and meaning
within the world’s chaos
when hearts
are closed
to the Holy Spirit
and we are lost
to our sacred purpose
killing what would bring life

yet somehow
a stilled heart
opens to the voice
of angels
prophets
and friend
piercing the shield
of our anxiety
and our ignorance
is forgiven
as we are given
refuge
shelter
and new life
with Him

How is Jesus the bread of life for you?
