Saturday the Fourth Week of Easter

Acts 12:44-52; Psalm 98: 1-4; John 14:7-14

looking into
the eternal moment
we see
God’s love
and goodness
unyielding
and persistent
feeding
mercy and forgiveness
answering
our prayers
for compassion
kindness
and generosity
in each heart
freed Spirit
seed of Christ
becomes
the tree of life
we rejoice
in a new song
of Love

What do you see in the eternal moment?

Thursday of the Fourth Week of Easter

Acts 13: 13-25; Psalms 89: 2-3, 21-22; 25-27; John 13: 16-20

as morning light
dawns
we sing of
your goodness
mercy
and kindness
faithful
even as the earth quakes
and wars ravage
for we know you
and you know us
a presence
among us
calling us
to vigilance
guiding us
to the path
of life
and love
that we seek
heeding your warnings
of betrayal
we stay
with you

Of what goodness do you sing?

Wednesday of the Fourth Week of Easter

Acts 12:24-13:5; Psalm 67:2-8; John 12:44-50

responding to
the longing
of nations
for peace
and light
and love
we are sent forth
by the Holy Spirit
spreading
and growing
God’s love
and compassion
across the earth
to those
who are ready
for a way
out of the darkness
of war
and deceit
by placing
our trust in God
and Truth

How do you spread God’s love and compassion?

Fourth Sunday of Easter

Acts 13:14, 43-52; Psalm 100: 1-5; Rev 7: 9-17; John 10: 27-3

hearing
God’s voice
we follow
through
every trial
knowing
the way
as we live
in God’s
shelter
knowing
no hunger
knowing
no thirst
we drink
of living water
never to be snatched
from God’s hand
we rest
secure
sharing all with
one another
in joy

Do you hear His voice?
Do you follow His way?
Do you share all with joy?

Friday of the Third Week of Easter

Acts 9:1-20; Psalm 117:1,2; John 6:52-59

stopped
in the bright light
of awareness
our life
is questioned
in every possible way
our searching
our relationship
to others
ourselves
to Spirit
being touched
deeply
by the Other
by our Being
it is as though
scales fall from our eyes
and we awaken
from a dream
no longer alone
or apart
but a part
of a living
loving
whole

Have you experienced a bright light of awareness of your place in God?
