Eighteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Eccl 1:2, 2-21-23; Psalm 95: 1-2, 6-9; Col. 3: 1-5, 9-11; Luke 12: 13-21)

we are
a new creation
no longer
our vanities
building
storage
for things
that pass away
we turn
to His voice
with open hearts
and hear
the desire of spirit
for love
and purity
goodness
faithfulness
Truth and
equality
we have our being
in God
singing joyfully
with thanksgiving
we create
and live
in the
empty
space
of spirit
filling it
with love

For what are you building up stores?
On what things is your mind intent?
Are you rooted in the nature of the spirit?

Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Genesis 18:20-32; Psalm 138; Col 2: 12-14; Luke 11: 1-13

in the silence
we learn to pray
and hear
our Father’s voice
from heaven
bringing God’s will for love
to earth
our daily bread
given
all our needs
are fulfilled
we forgive
knowing
when we ask
we shall
receive what we need
with a mercy
so great
we are saved
from all evil
as all that stands
between us
is cast away
passing through the cross
and risen
to new life

Do you receive our daily bread from Him?
Do you forgive all?
Do you know mercy?
