Twenty-eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Wisdom 7:7-11; Psalm 90:12-17; Hebrews 4:12-13; Mark 10:17-30

what treasure
do we have
but God’s love
when all else fails
God’s wisdom comes
to our hearts
filled at daybreak
our soul
sings for joy
our one true God
our only Good
where all is possible
and known
cutting through
the deceptions
of our life
penetrating
the soul of us
forming the truth
free of hatred
and murder
unfaithfulness
and jealousy
we sell all
and give our lives
to this new life given us
we understand
and cherish
the promise
of God’s love

What is your treasure?
What is your joy?

Twenty-seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time

Gen 2:18-24; Ps 128: 1-2,3-6; Heb 2:9-11; Mark 10:2-16

we see the
love of God
that works
between
within
the spaces of us
blessing
each other
the recesses of our home
are filled with love
and children
we learn to die
for each other
even as we rejoice
we suffer for
the Truth
we find here
no one can break
what God has joined
in faith to each other
we learn
the faithfulness
of God
in relationship
we see
what God desires

Do you trust the love of God in relationship?
Do you see God’s fidelity in your own faithfulness?
Do you die to your selfishness to love?
