Fourth Sunday of Easter

Acts 13:14, 43-52; Psalm 100: 1-5; Rev 7: 9-17; John 10: 27-3

hearing
God’s voice
we long to follow

the one
who will lead us
through
every trial
showing
the way

through our great distress
and finding shelter
in Him
knowing
no hunger
knowing
no thirst
drinking
of living water
never to be snatched
from God’s hand
resting
secure
and able to share with
one another
in joy

What is your longing?
Do you hear His voice?
Do you follow His way?
Do you share all with joy?

Friday of the Third Week of Easter

Acts 9:1-20; Psalm 117:1,2; John 6:52-59

stopped
in the bright light
of awareness
our life
is questioned
in every possible way
our searching
our relationship
to others
ourselves
to Spirit
being touched
deeply
by the Other
by our Being
it is as though
scales fall from our eyes
and we awaken
from a dream
no longer alone
or apart
but a part
of a living
loving
whole

Have you experienced a bright light of awareness of your place in God?

Tuesday of the Third Week of Easter

1Cor 15:1-8; Psalm 19:2-5; John 14:6-14

His word
as justice
goes out
through all
the earth
day pours out
the word to day
and night
to night
imparts knowledge
to all
who would hear
with open minds
and hearts
a glory seen
a love felt
even among the ruins
of war and chaos
a name
who saves us
by calling us
home

What message do you hear pouring out over the earth?
Where is your home?

Monday in the Third Week of Easter

Acts 6:8-15; Psalm 119: 23-30; John 6:22-29

within
our daily bread

we glimpse
eternity

as He becomes
the bread of life
for our soul’s nourishment
in the Truth
of God’s love
revealed

following
His precepts
meditating on
God’s wondrous deeds
our lives are given
meaning
hope
and love
beyond
what we could ever imagine

What do you see within your daily bread?

Third Sunday of Easter

Acts 5:27-32; 40-44; Psalm 30: 2-6, 11-13; Rev 5: 11-14; John 21: 1-19

beloved disciples
we know
His voice
raised from death
curses
and hate-
our nets casts forth
alone
in darkness
are fruitless
but in His light
and word
we are filled
we follow
unable to be silent
of the one who
has rescued us
and loved us
we risk all
we give all
by holy fires
we are fed
forgiven for denials
we love
and love
and love
feeding
tending
caring
forgiving
even unto death-
our mourning is
changed to dancing
while all creation
praises His love

Do you hear God’s voice in the stranger?
Do you forgive ourselves and turn to love?
Do you praise God at all times?
