Romans 9:1-5; Psalm 147:12-15;19-20; Luke 14:1-6

hearing the voice
of Love
we respond
with all
of our heart
and soul
and mind
serving the Goodness
we see
in any way
we can
great and small
all belongs
to the heart
of God

How do you serve the love and goodness you see?

Wisdom 3:1-9; Psalm 23:1-6; Romans 5:5-11; John 6:37-40

a stillness
that looks
like death
is not
as our soul rests
in the hand
of God
even as we walk
through
this valley
of darkness
we have no fear
for God is with us
in a love
poured out
into our hearts
living
in a hope
that will not disappoint

Do you live in the hope that will not disappoint?

Rv 7:2-4,9-14; Psalm 24:1-6; 1Jn 3:1-3; Mt 5:1-12

seeking
the face
of God
we find Him
in the One
who comes
in blessing
of our poverty
of Spirit
our mourning
our meekness
our hunger
and thirst
for righteousness
peace
and purity
guiding us
through times
of great distress
we rest
from our burdens
in Him

Where do you find Him?
Where do you put your hope in time of great distress?

Romans 8:18-25; Psalm 126:1-6; Luke 13:18-21

our faith
a mustard seed
so small
yet planted
in the rich soil
of God’s love
grows
to embrace
God’s love
of all

even as
we groan
through
our labor pains
we rejoice in
the new life
it brings

How do you rejoice in the new life faith brings?

Romans 8:12-17; Psalm 68: 2,4,6,7,20-21; Luke 13:10-17

set free
of our
infirmity
and fear
we stand
in the saving
love
knowing
the Holy Spirit
that bears
witness
with our spirit
informing us
who we are
one in God’s family
caring
for one another
suffering
with one another
rejoicing
with one another

Is your home in God?

Exodus 22: 20-16; Psalm 18: 2-51; Thess 1: 5-10; Mt. 22: 34-40

our whole heart
our whole soul
our whole mind
in love
with the living God
breathing
in God’s
strength
and courage
we love
one another
from this wellspring
showing justice
and mercy
and compassion
as we
have been
shown

Do you love God with your whole heart, your whole soul, your whole mind?
Do you love your neighbor as yourself?
Do you show justice and mercy?

Eph 2:19-22; Psalm 19:2-3,4-5; Luke 6:12-16

spending
the night in prayer
the words of love
come from God
to show us
who we are
one life
held together
by the bonds
of the Holy Spirit
uniting
in a way
we have yet to understand
day pours out
the word to day
night imparts knowledge
with a message
for those who would hear

What do you hear?

Romans 7:18=25; Psalm 119: 66,68,76,77,93,94; Luke 12:25-59

wanting
to do good
we do not
as something
wars within us
yet we are called
to see
in this moment
a wisdom
and knowledge
kindness
and compassion
a goodness
we come to know as
the will of God
written upon
our hearts
it is our delight
as it frees us
and saves us
to do the good
we long to do
in God’s love

Are you willing to do good but do not?
“Why do you not know how to interpret the present time?”
What sets you free?

Romans 6:19-23; Psalm 1:1-6; Luke 12:49-53

the earth
on fire
with a dividing love
separates us
from all misperception
forcing us
to ask
what Truth
we follow
and what is written
in our heart
once answered
we know
who we are

Who are you?
Where do you find Truth?

Romans 6:12-18; Psalm 124: 1-8; Luke 12:39-48

freed from
the law
living
under grace
sin has no power
as our bodies
are given over
to the goodness
of God
entrusted
with this love
ever watchful
we care
for ourselves
and one another
in our common home
feeding
sheltering
sustaining
inspiring
with all
we have been given
so generously

What has power over your life?
What is it to live by grace?
