Matthew 9:18-26

reaching out
in the courage
of our faith
we touch
the source
of our Being
in Christ
creator
and guide
of our life
setting us free
to live
this holy moment
in God’s holy
presence
able to rejoice
in the beauty
that surrounds us
knowing
we will never be abandoned
as we keep our eyes fixed
on heaven

Do you reach out in courage?
Do you find love and forgiveness?

Zec 9:9-10; Psalm 145:1-14; Romans 8:9-13; Matthew 11:25-30

this place
of Spirit
that dwells within
living
unburdened
it is His gift
to our weariness
finding rest
we let go
of all that our flesh
demands
and enslaves us to
and live
in God’s grace
with a new heart
and mind
compassionate
kind
and merciful

Do you dare become unburdened and live in His Spirit?
How do you lay down your burdens?
Who is you help and your guide?

Amos 9:11-15; Psalm 85:9-14; Matthew 9:14-17

celebrating
the newness
of this day
we pour
ourselves
into a life
given
for goodness
we are released
from old wounds
and deprivations
letting go
of expectations
experiencing
the moment
when kindness and Truth
meet
when justice
and peace kiss
and the Truth
springs out
of the earth
and justice
walks upon the land

Do you celebrate the newness of this day?
Do you care for all as sacred?

Feast of St. Thomas, Apostle
Ephesians 2:19-22; Psalm 117:1,2; John 20:24-29

greater than
our need
to touch
and see–
our faith
lives beyond
our concepts
and concrete notions
in a a realm
that calls for
a surrender
into the mystery of God
allowing the Truth
of Christ’s completeness
to enter our minds and hearts
revealing
the dwelling place
of God
and the Holy Spirit
who guides our life

What are your doubts?
Do you find him in the wound?
How are you blessed?

Amos 7:10-17; Psalm 19:8-11; Matthew 9:1-8

in the silence
we hear God’s words
of truth
perfect
refreshing
and trustworthy
giving wisdom
to our soul
rejoicing
our heart
enlightening our eye
to justice
and mercy
in God’s presence
we rise up
and walk
forgiving all
and seeing with
God’s love
and goodness

Does your soul rejoice in God’s word of mercy and love?

Amos 5:14-15, 21-24; Psalm 50:7, 8-17; Matthew 8:38-34

seeking good
and not evil
not in feast
or solemnity
nor burnt offering
or song
but justice
and mercy
that flow
like water
through every
honest need
casting out
demons
that would possess
we enter the territory
of God’s
limitless
love

How do you enter the flow of God’s justice and mercy?
How have you been set free by Jesus?

Matthew 8:23-27

living in the fear
of our storms
He awakens in us
to quell our fears
with a calmness
that sweeps over
our life
searching our heart
and soul
nothing is left untouched
brought to light
we lose our self reference
and see all in Him
God and Spirit
our guide
we live
in the spaciousness
of grace and mercy
where all is forgiven
and Heaven
rushes in

Do you allow God’s calming of the storms in your life?
How does the Holy Spirit work in your life?

Solemnity of Peter and Paul
Acts 12:1-11; Psalm 34:2-9; 2Tim 4:6-8,17-18; Matthew 16:13

in prayer
we see Him
as He is
the Christ
our light
transforming all
into God’s vision
we look to Him
that we may be
radiant
with joy
and feel
God’s constant
presence
that surrounds us
guiding us
and protecting us

Do you experience the joy of God’s presence?
How does it change you?

2Kings 4:8-11,14-16; Psalm 89:2-3,16-19; Romans 6:3-11; Matthew 10:37-42

loving God
above all
we find the source
of our Being
from where
all our life
flows
love
joy
peace
generosity
kindness
gentleness
truth prevailing
against all darkness
deception
and delusion
we remain firm
and sing the goodness
of the Lord
our strength
and our shield

Who is the source of your Being?
How do you live from the source of your Being?

Lamentations 2:2,10-14,18-19; Psalm 74:1-2,3-7,20-21; Luke 2:41-51

pouring out our hearts
like water
in the Presence of God
we seek
the peace
of the Holy Spirit
as we watch the violence
of the land
and the hunger
of the people
for Goodness
seeking the answer
in the temples
and through the prophets
we strain our ears
to hear
the voice of the Spirit
that unites
not the law
that divides

Where do you seek peace?
How do you hear the Spirit that unites with love
