Dt. 4:32-34,39-40; Ps. 33:4-6,9,12, 18-22; Romans: 8: 14-17; Mt. 28:16-20)

we fix our heart on
the God of heaven
the God of earth
a voice
amidst the fire
and the strong hand
and outstretched arm–
we understand
God’s commands for love
from the one who loves
justice and right–
we are happy
as all are chosen
and live and breathe
with Him–
knowing we are
children of God
lead away
from slavery to love
we teach what we have
come to know
in our heart
we are One

with the love of God
the love of Jesus
and the love of the Holy Spirit
who is with us always
until the end of the age

Where have you heard the voice of God?

Mark 10:13-16

in fear we come
as a child
seeking comfort
and find a love
that seeks only
our good
kind and compassionate
we live in the presence
of beauty and truth
ever grateful
for this blessing
of wonder
and awe
we release our life
to God’s grace

Do you approach God with fear?
Does it turn into compassionate love?

James 5:9-15; Psalm 103:1-12; Mark 10:1-12

finding our purpose
in God
‘s love
saying yes
when we mean yes
and no when we mean no
we follow
the way
of Truth
in compassion
mercy
kindness
and love
acting from
from this Holy place

Do you say yes when you mean yes and no when you mean no?
Do you see your purpose of God’s love?

James 5:1-6; Psalm 49:14-20; Mark 9:41-50

our wealth
is nothing
in the eyes
of One
who only
sees
our love
and goodness–
trusting in
our possessions
we lose our way–
trusting
in God
we find it
and give
ourselves
to Life
to our children
and to those
in need

Do you give yourself to God’s Love?
How do you share it with others?

James 4:13-17; Psalm 49:2-3,6-11; Mark 9:38-40

having no idea
what tomorrow
will bring
we live in

this one
moment
a gift
that no money
can buy
or redeem
given
for love of God
and one another
we give thanks
and cherish
All
doing
what is right
in His name

Do you appreciate the gift of this moment?
How do you share God’s love?

Mark 9:30-37

come
as a child
with wonder
and awe
and trust
the God
who guides
our minds
and hearts
who is with us
at all times
even in
the harshest adversity
keep a sincere
and steadfast heart
listening always
for God’s word
of Life
and be enlightened
in grace
mercy
and love

Do you come to God with wonder and awe?

Genesis 3:9-20; Psalm 87:1-7; John 19:25-34

standing by the cross with Mary
sharing the burden
of our separateness
our sinfulness
we see His cross
His thirst
and enter the mystery
of suffering
speaking a language
beyond our understanding
yet reaching a place
of knowing in us
where we live with Him
in God’s love
and say with him
“it is finished”
releasing our Spirit
to heaven’s joy

How do you experience the cross?
How do you respond to His thirst?

Readings for Vigil Mass
Ezekiel 37: 1-14; Psalm 104; Romans 8:22-27; John 7:37-39

groaning in our
agony of waiting
we knew not
how to pray
lifeless
as in a grave
we were lost
we have been
dry bones
walking
with no spirit
until He is set
upon us–
called
from the four winds
the Spirit comes
and breathes us
into Life
tongues of fire
ignite us
our imagination soars
one moment
changes all
as one we thought gone
appears
rattling bones
come together
bone joining bone
enfleshed–
we speak
with passion
the new language
of love

Can these dry bones come to life?
Is your imagination alive with His spirit?
Are you a living flame of Love?

Acts 28:16-20, 30-31; Psalm 11:4-7; John 16:7, 13; John 21:20-25

a searching glance
He sees
our minds
and hearts
and soul
lover of justice
hater of violence
He sends
a Spirit of Truth
guiding our concern
not to another
but to our self
finding our way
to follow His calling
to the path
of God’s love

and peace in us
to live
and share

How does Jesus call you to follow?
What gift do you have to share?

Acts 25:13-21; Psalm 103:1-2,11-12,19-20; John 21:15-19

the one
who was thought
to be dead
is alive
in the love
we proclaim
in the feeding
and tending we do
seeing
another way
of Life
in the Holy Spirit
that cannot
be bought
or sold
contained
or controlled
by human means
an immeasurable
justice
called mercy
an immeasurable
kindness
called Love

Do you experience Him alive?
When Jesus asks “Do you love me?” how do you respond?
