Ephesians 3:2-12; Isaiah 12:2-6; Luke 12:39-48

awake
to His Word
we see
God’s coming
the Spirit’s
ever presence
in Christ’s
healing power
strengthening us
encouraging us
moment
to moment
with joy
we draw water
from the springs
of salvation
our hearts
become full of song
gratitude
and praise

Are you awake to God’s presence?
Do you hear God’s song in your soul?

Ephesians 2:12-22; Psalm 85:9-14; Luke 12:35-38

no longer
strangers
we are being
built together
into a dwelling place
of God
in the Spirit
where kindness
and Truth
shall meet
and peace
shall reign
among the people
serving only

God’s justice
God’s love of all

How do you experience God’s love of all?
Do you experience God’s love of all as justice?

Eph 2:1-1-; Psalm 100:1-5; Luke 12:13-21

turning
our lives
from greed
possession
and impulse
we become
rich
in what matters
to God
from a grace
given freely
an immeasurable
kindness
and mercy
that flows
through our work
day by day
as we love
and provide
what each moment
needs
not giving in
to what divides us
but what unites us
in love

What matters to God?
Do you accept the love grace given freely by God?

Is 53: 10-11; PS 33:4-5,18-20, 22; Heb 4:14-16; MK 10:35-45

you who know us
who knows our hearts
and minds
our weakness
our suffering-
you who have lived and walked
with us
bring us mercy-
in this meeting place of God
and humanity
grace comes
in our sufferings
as we hunger
in famine
and the wages of war
in the face of death
our soul is waiting
for your help-
your shield
a light seen
we put our hope
our trust
in you
who loves justice
and right-
immersed

in the waters of you
we seek to share
and to serve all
with this love
we have come
to know
in you

Do you see your affliction as a moment of grace?
Do you put all our hope and trust in God?
Do you serve with the love you have found in God?

Ephesians 1:15-23; Psalm 8:2-7; Luke 12:8-12

with
the Holy Spirit
provider

of love
and forgiveness
we are freed
from our anger
resentments

ignorance
and disregard
of Truth-
beholding

creation
in the moon
and stars
the eyes
of our heart

are opened
to see
God’s wisdom
and love

of All

What revelation will bring the dawn of God’s love of All to your mind and heart?

Do you acknowledge the Holy Spirit in all you do and say?

2Timothy 4:10-17; Psalm 145:10-18; Luke 10:1-9

sent out
to labor
as lambs
among wolves
the harvester
carries
no money
no sack
no sandals
depending
on the kindness
of strangers
curing the sick
revealing
a kingdom
of God
within
and among us
to all who
have eyes
to see

What do you depend on?

Eph 1:1-10; Psalm 98:1-6; Luke 11:47-54

the song
we sing
is not our own
written
by the hand
of another
for our hearts
when touched
by God’s love
coming
alive
with the joy
of new life
as we see
a glory given
a wisdom
received
as insight
into
the mystery
of His will
our saving
grace

What song do you sing? How do you share the love and faith you have been given?

Gal:5:18-25; Psalm 1:1-6; Luke 11:42-46

there is no law
when guided by Holy Spirit
whose fruits are
love
joy
peace
patience
kindness
generosity
faithfulness
and self-control
guided away
from hateful
destructive
passions
we are like
a tree
planted
near running water
yielding
our fruit
in due season
turning toward
His Light

Do you live in the freedom of the Holy Spirit?

Gal5:1-6; Psalm 119:41-48; Luke 11:37-41

meditating
on God’s law
and commands
the light
of mercy
shines through
we give alms
from a heart
set free
by a faith
working
with the Holy Spirit
through love
we experience
God’s living
word
acting
upon the world

How are you set free by God’s word?

Gal 4:22-27, 31-5:1; Psalm 113:1-7; Luke 11:29-32

insecure
in our faith
we demand
a sign
turning
ourselves
into slaves
rejecting
the wisdom
of repentance
and the sign of Jonah
condemning
ourselves
to judgement
until we hear
His voice
of freedom
singing

in our soul

What sign do you demand?
What voice do you hear?
