Titus 2:1-8; 11-14; Psalm 37:3-4,18 and 23, 27 and 29; Luke 17:7-10

obliged
by the goodness
of God’s love
we serve
wisdom
the gift of age
encouraging
others
to see
the spiritual gifts
surrounding us
embracing
dignity
hope
faith
and temperance
living
in the simplicity
and joy
of knowing
who we are

Do you live in the simplicity of knowing who you are?
Do you experience the Wisdom of age?

Titus 1:1-19; Psalm 24:1-6; Luke 17:1-6

desire not
what is vain
but the Holy Spirit
above all
who brings Life
and informs
all our days
a mustard seed
of faith
within
will move a mountain
and open our hearts
to the living God
who holds all
goodness
compassion
forgiveness
and love

Do you open your heart to the Holy Spirit?

Kings 17:10-16; Ps 146: 7-10; Hebrews 9:24-28; Mark 12:38-44

from our want
we give God
all we have
as we follow
Christ
who gave all
with open heart
these jars of flour
these jugs of oil
shall not go empty
shall not be dry
as we
put our faith in
and praise Him
generous spirit
securing justice
protecting strangers
the widows
and fatherless
the naked
and hungry
He is our food
He gives us
Life

Is God’s word the food that gives you Life?
Do you give from a heart open to God’s love?

1Ez: 47:11-12; Psalm 46: 2-3, 5-6, 8-0; Cor: 3:9C-11, 16-17; John 2: 3-22

we are
the temple of God
risen with Him
Spirit in-dwelling
cleansed of all
that would defile
we flow
with God’s living water
from this sanctuary
living in God’s will
that all should live
and flourish
with God in our midst
we shall not
be disturbed
God is our help
at the break
of dawn
we rejoice
at the astounding things
God has wrought
upon the earth

Do you experience yourself as the temple of God?

Phil 13:17-4:1; Psalm 122:1-5; Luke 16:1-8

relieved
of our debt
we are freed
to live
another way
a way
that informs
with a Spirit
of Goodness
and joy
no longer
enemies
of the cross
we see
its power
in the love poured out
that becomes our food
Spirit rising
as our breath
we live
in the mystical
body of Christ

Where do you live?

Phil 3:3-8; Psalm 105: 2-7; Luke 15:1-10

invited in
we eat
with Him
remembering
who we are
recalling
wondrous deeds
rejoicing
at being found
and having our hearts
set aright
no longer
lost in law
lineage
and self-righteousness
we live
in the freedom
of Spirit
in Truth
and Love

Where do you find freedom?
Does your heart rejoice?

Phil 2:12-18; Psalm 27:1,4,13-14; Luke 14:25-33

taking leave
of our possessions
and all
that possesses us
we enter
the light
of salvation
freed
to see
who we are
in a new way
letting go
of fear
the dwelling place of God
reveals itself
a great fire
of love
among us
working
always for our good

Do you freely give up all that possesses you?
Do you allow room in your heart for God’s love and grace even in chaos?

Phil 2:5-11; Psalm 22:26-32; Luke 14:15-24

emptied
and humbled
not grasping
at God
in greedy
selfish ways
we open
our hearts
to God’s invitation
with gratitude
for what is being offered
a place
at the table
where we share
in a love
and peace
and joy
beyond the imaginings
of a divided world

Can you imagine the love and peace being offered by God?
Do you accept God’s invitation?

Phil 2:1-4; Psalm 131:1-3; Luke 14:12-14

a stilled soul
even in times
of chaos
unselfishly
living
in participation
with the Holy Spirit
compassionate
merciful
thinking always
of another
not needing
repayment
resting
in the joy
of a heart
united
with God’s love

Does your soul experience stillness?
Do you live united in God’s love?

Dt 6:2-6; Ps 18: 2-4, 47, 51; Hebrews 7: 23-28; Mark 12:28-34

loving the God
who loves us
with all of our heart
with all of our soul
with all of our mind
with all of our strength
we find
our fortress
our deliverer
our safety
beyond the weakness
of our humanity
we live in the Holy Spirit
who we can trust
realizing
it is not burnt offerings
or sacrifice
that is God’s desire
but love
to be shared
with all

Do you love God with your whole heart, your whole soul, your whole mind?
