Hebrews 10: 32-39; Psalm 37: 3-40; Mark 4: 26-34

we scatter
seeds
in joy
and hope
not knowing
what will come
we labor
in faith
sustained
by the One
who knows
the harvest
never knowing
what suffering
or challenge
may come
even to
our faith
over and over
our daily bread
is to choose life
for ourselves
for others
knowing all
love
and justice
is gift

What challenges your faith?
What calls you to Life?

Hebrews 10:19-25; Psalm 24:1-9; Mark 4:21-25

inspiring
one another
to love
and good works

through His word
we allow
God’s light
to shine through us
using His infinite love
and generosity
as our measure
in all that we do
we live with faith
courage
gratitude
and compassion
forgiving everything
for God’s sake

What is your measure?
What is God’s measure?

Mark 4:1-20

seed sown
by the Holy Spirit
from the dark
rich soil
of God’s love
grows
deep roots
into God’s mystery
nourished
by God’s word
showered
by the clear waters
of faith
drawn
to the Light
of Presence
one with
God’s breath
we bear
God’s fruit
of justice
mercy
and love

Do you have deep roots into the mystery of God’s love?

Hebrew 10:1-10; Psalm 40:2,4,7-10; Mark 3:31-35

we come
as family
one Spirit
in the will
to love
in ways
beyond law
and sacrifice
a new song
arising
that the world
has not heard
a justice
not experienced
in weighted scales
and gavels
but drawn
from God’s abundant love

What is the new song you hear?

Mark 3:22-30

we see
a house divided
and know
it cannot stand
praying
for a unity
that seems to elude us
yet glimpsed by eyes
that reach beyond
self-interest
and willfulness

called by faith
aligned with mercy
conceived in
a Holy Spirit
of wisdom
and truth
a path opens
and forgiveness
showers us
with the grace

to see each other
held
in God’s Holy Spirit
of love

Do you see a house divided against itself?
What will heal the divisions?
Who do you call upon for healing?

Neh: 2-6; 8-10, Ps 19:8-10, 15; Cor 12:12-30; Luke: 1:1-4, 4:14-21)

one body
made
one spirit
moving
within His ways
our heart beats
our eyes see
our hands hold
His love
passed from one
another
His law enfleshed
our hearts rejoice
His pure sight
enlightens
and weeping
is no more
we feast
with Him
sending portions
to those who
have nothing
setting free
the captives
setting liberty for
the oppressed
this joy of the Lord

is our strength

Is his law alive in your heart?
Can you see with his eyes?
Is his joy your strength?

Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul
Acts 22:3-16; Psalm 117:1,2; Mark 16:15-18

living
in our delusions
we separate
and persecute
thinking we know
what is right and good
until the Light
of Grace
that reveals
the Truth
of Oneness
and Love
challenges
everything
we have ever believed
setting us free
for new life
living
in peace
and harmony
in God’s Love
This is the Good News.

What light do you see
What do you hear?

Heb 8:6-13; Psalm 85:8-14; Mark 3:13-19

living
in the days
of the new covenant
when God
puts the law of love
in our minds
and hearts
through His Presence
needing
no other
to say
“know the Lord”
we hear
God’s calling
to live
in kindness
justice
mercy
and Truth

Do you hear God speaking into your mind and heart?
Are God’s words speaking of love, kindness, mercy and justice?
Do you see God’s justice as love of all?

Hebrews 7:25-8:6; Psalm 40:7-17; Mark 3:7-12

law written
within my heart
I press my ear
to the sound
of its beating
feeling the pulse
of its steady rhythm
set to the pace
of God’s existence
in me
marveling at
its faithfulness
to my day to day
setting the flow
and pace
of love
in my life
enduring
and pressing back
against all
that would break it
or harden it
thankful
for this sacred chamber
and holy place
of prayer in me

What is written in your heart?

Mark 3: 1-6

we come
before you
on our Sabbath
to remember
who we are
made for goodness
and healing
with withered hand
outstretched
knowing
our need
you heal us
and we feel
the power of Life
holy splendor
falling on us
like the dew
the power
of a life
that cannot
be destroyed
one in you
without beginning
or end

Do you feel the power of God’s life and love?
Have you outstretched your hand to God?
How have you been healed?
