Genesis 1:1-19; Psalm 104: 1-12, 24 and 35; Mark 6:53-56

you come
with Light
to heal
as in
first Creation
from formless mass
and dark abyss
came Light

water and wind
sky and land
seed and plant
sun and stars
all blessed as Good

we begin again
in your Light
in your touch
a new creation
in Love

How do you begin again?

Isaiah 6:1-8; Ps 138: 1-8; 1Cor 15: 1-11; Luke 5: 1-11

we are struck
with awe
by who
you are
and who we are
created
in you
we feel
the smallness
of our being
our undeserving
nature
yet
you call
and lift us
to you

hot ember
on our unclean lips
angel of God
you free
our mouth
for words
of love
you ask
“who shall I send?”
risen
in your love
no longer afraid
we say
“Here I am.
I shall go”

Have you felt the hot ember of God upon your lips?
The awe of God’s presence?
The peace that God brings?

Heb 13:15-21; Psalm 23:1-6; Mark 6:30-34

our hearts
moved
by the Spirit
not neglecting
to do good
and share
what we have
we listen
for the voice
that will lead
us through
the valley
of our fears
into the Light
of Love
healing divisions
inspired
by His words
refreshing
our soul
we are no longer lost
to ourselves
or each other

What voice do you hear?
What story guides your life?

Hebrew 12:1-8; Psalm 27:1-9: Mark 6:14-29

embraced
by the Holy Spirit
we let Love
continue
content
with what we have
being
welcoming
and mindful
of all
faithful
in all things
and make no promises
we cannot keep
following
the saving Light
of Grace
we have a refuge
in times of trouble
a home
in times of peace

Is the Lord your light and your salvation?
Is God a refuge in times of trouble?
Do you gain strength through the Holy Spirit?

Hebrews 12:18:24; Psalm 48: 2-11; Mark 6:7-13

sent out
two by two
no money
no food
only their Faith
and a walking stick
they lived
on the kindness
of strangers
who opened
their hearts
and homes
to Good News
seeing
a new way
to live
not in fear
but in the love
written
in their hearts

What do you carry on your journey?
What is written in your heart?

Hebrew 12:4-7,11-15; PS 103:1-2, 13-14, 17-18A; John 10:27

let no bitter root
spring up
and cause trouble
through which
we may be lead
astray
we strive
for peace
with everyone
from a kindness
that is from eternity
Holy Spirit
provider
and guide
of God’s love
this Presence
this ground
of our being
here we take root
and grow deeply
into our faith
resisting all
that would
uproot us

Has a bitter root sprung up in your heart?
How can it be uprooted?

Hebrews 12:1-4; Psalm 22:26-32; Mark 5:21-43

through His cross
we rid ourselves
of every burden
we persevere
keeping our eyes
fixed on Jesus
in order
that we may not
grow weary
offering any infirmity
to God’s healing touch
we enter
the realm
of saving grace
touched
by the Holy Spirit
we regain
our strength
and see every possibility
for Love

Are your eyes fixed on Jesus?
Do you feel his healing touch?
Do you offer thanks?

Hebrews 11:32-40; Psalm 31:20-24; Mark 5:1-20

hearing the sound
of our pleading
He answers our prayers
healing all within us
that separates us
from God’s love
our hearts take comfort
in our hope in Him
in the great goodness
we see
though often disguised and hidden
in tragedy
and turmoil
His light
penetrates
the deepest darkness
into the soul of us
bringing peace

Does Christs’ light bring peace to your heart?
Does His light help you see goodness even amidst tragedy and turmoil?

Mal 3: 1-4; Psalm 24: 7, 8, 9, 10; Hebrews: 2: 14-18; Luke: 2: 22-40
Holy Spirit
preparing
the way
guiding our lives
opening
our praying eyes
to Glory
we see the one
we have longed for
who saves us
from our fear
of death
and the sin
that enslaves us
our hearts are opened
and revealed
as we endure
the purifying
flame
of love
and mercy
through
His tested faith
and give thanks

Do you see His Glory?
Do you experience His saving power?
How are you guided by the Holy Spirit?

Hebrews 11:1-19; Luke 1:69-75; Mark 4:35-41

our hopes
realized in faith
we are called out
to an unknown journey
to create anew
with the Holy Spirit
of God’s love for all-
offered mercy
and freedom
from the stillness
of our hearts
all our fears
are calmed
as we are in awe
of the power
of the Holy Spirit
in Him
who even the wind
and the sea obey

Are your hopes realized in faith?
Are all your fears calmed by the Holy Spirit’s power in you?
Do you know how to be still?
