Acts 9.26-31; 1 John 3.18-24; John 15.1-8

we grow
into the vine
of your love
fed
we bear
the fruits
of God
love for
one another
in deed
and truth
beyond all
of our sins
beyond all
our divisions
we see
what God
can forgive
the God
greater than
our hearts-
in him
our soul
shall live
then peace
shall finally come.

How much can you forgive?
What are the fruits of your love?

Acts 13: 44-52; Psalm 98: 1-4; John 14: 7-14

shaking
the dust
from our feet
we leave
behind
jealousy
and persecution
entering
a new life
a new song
of goodness
and kindness
lead by the Holy Spirit
we have confidence
asking
for what we need
in His name

What do you ask for in His name?

Acts 13:26-33; Psalm 2:6-11; John 14: 1-6

do not
let your heart
be troubled
you who know
and serve
God
who in
humbleness
see the path
set before you
by one
who came
to save
there
is your
dwelling place
your home
in goodness
and love

By what is your heart troubled?
Do you see the path set before you?
Where do you find your dwelling place?

Acts 13: 13-25; Psalm 89: 2-3, 21-22; 25-27; John 13: 16-20

as morning light
dawns
we sing of
your goodness
mercy
and kindness
faithful
even as the earth quakes
and wars ravage
for we know you
and you know us
a presence
among us
calling us
to vigilance
guiding us
to the path
of life
and love
that we seek
heeding your warnings
of betrayal
we stay
with you

Of what goodness do you sing?

Acts 12: 24-13:5a; Psalm 67: 2-8; John 12: 44-50

living
in God’s love
and joy
and peace
we have
faith
and patience
and
self-control
giving
gently
kindly
generously
with gratitude
for all
that has been
given

Do you experience gratitude for everyday?

Acts 11: 19-26; Psalm 87: 1-3, 4-5, 6-7; John 10: 22-30

filled with
the Holy Spirit
we see
the grace of God
and rejoice
encouraging
one another
to firmness
of heart
working
for love
justice
and mercy
in his name

Where do you see the grace of God?

Acts 11: 1-18; Psalm 42: 2-3, 43: 3,4; John 10: 1-10

we listen
we hear
a voice
manifests
who knows us
and guides us
to goodness
one heart
one mind
even in all
of our diversity
gatekeeper
of heaven
among us
you tend
and guard
against
all who might
try to steal
what belongs
to all
love of God

How do you experience this voice?
What can “steal” this from you?

Acts 4.8-12; Psalm: 118:1, 8-9, 21-23, 26,21,19; John 3.1,2; John 10, 11-18

we build our lives
on this cornerstone
that was rejected
by the world’s power
a foundation
of saving grace
and mercy
laid down
beneath
our crippled lives
we are healed
and hear the voice
the one
who worked
for love
laying down
his life
freely
this love
we will follow
no longer trusting
human frailty
and princes
children of God
we know
who we are.

What is it to hear the voice of God?
To hear the voice of Jesus?
How do you follow?

Acts 9: 1-20; Psalm 117: 1,2; John 6: 52-59

stopped
cold
on our journey
a light
a voice
that speaks
the Truth
of who we are
no longer
persecutors
of one another
we live in
one spirit
one Holy Spirit
eating
and drinking
we live
on a food
eternal
given in
and for
love

What was your turning point?
When did you see experience the Holy Spirit’s Light and voice?

Acts 8: 26-40; Psalm 66:3-20; John 6: 44-51

How do we Understand?
How do we know what we are reading?
Who will instruct us?

seeking
an answer
we hear
a name
above all others
that calls
to us
from one
who gives
life to our souls
living bread
eternal vision
Jesus
he says
follow
baptized
in his living water
we follow
the Holy Spirit
given

How do we live by the Holy Spirit?
