1John2:12-17; Psalm 96:7-10; Luke 2:36-40

wisdom
of age
in fast
and prayer
she waits
for the one
who will bring
Light
the birth
of knowing
the Child
who sees past
illusion
deception
and the world’s
enticements
to God’s
essential Being
God’s will
for Love
flowing within
and among us
in Peace

For what do you wait?
Do you see?

1John 2:3-11; Psalm 96:1-6; Luke 2:22-35

the rise
and fall
of many
His sword
the Light of Truth
pierces our hearts
revealing
any hatred
deception
or darkness
with the Presence
of an undeniable Love
Holy Spirit
guide of our Being
we sing
in praise
as God’s purest Love
our heart’s desire
is revealed

Has the Light of God’s Love pierced your heart?

1John 1:5-2:2; Psalm 124:2-8; Matthew 2:13-18

blinded
in darkness
we do not
act in truth
our soul
a bird
caught
in the fowler’s snare
until the dawn
of God’s loving light
appears
and frees us
the snare
broken
we soar
in love’s
embrace
in God’s
love of all

Do you experience the healing light of God’s love?
Does it set you free?

Sirach 3: 2-6, 12-14; Psalm 128, 1-5; Colossians 3:12-17; Luke 2:41-52

searching
she finds
her lost son
in his Father’s house
where he would
always be
knowing
listening
loving
God’s word
becoming
God’s word
that we
might become
one
with Him
one family
in mercy
kindness
patience
humility
forgiving
one another
bound in love
perfect
and thankful

Where is your dwelling place?
Do you see all as part of God’s holy family?
How is Christ alive in your family?

Acts 6:8-10;7:54-50; Psalm 31: 3-8, 16-17; Matthew 10:17-22

from the darkness
came
His Loving Light
to hold us
into perfect Love
no longer
slaves
to our activity
we are free
in the Holy Spirit
even as
we are handed over
to accusers
courts
and prison
or even death
our innocence
remains
in our Soul
and Spirit
united
to God’s love
in this
we endure
and Live

Do you trust completely in the Holy Spirit?
Do you experience God’s loving light?

Isaiah 62: 1-5; Psalm 89:1-5,16-17,27-29; Acts 13: 16-17; 22-25;
Matthew 1-25

Emmanuel
God with us
we shall not
be silent–
no longer
forsaken
and desolate
we delight
and forever
sing
the goodness
of the Lord
a joyful shout
for He is our rock
our savior
born of
the Holy Spirit
born
of faith
born
of trust
we are
reborn
in His Love

Do you sing the goodness of the Lord?
Have you been reborn in His Love?
Do you know “God with us”?

2Samuel 7:1-5,8-12,14,16; Psalm 89:2-5,27 and 29; Luke 1:67-70

the dawn
breaks upon
the dark
loneliness
where we live
not knowing
who we are
in this valley
of death
saving light
comes
to our seeking heart
bringing us peace
we sing
for joy
in the goodness
and mercy
of the Lord

Do you feel the dawn of Christmas light breaking upon your heart?

Mal 3:1-4,23-24; Psalm 25:4-5, 3-9, 10 and 14; Luke 1:57-66

who will endure
the day
when the one
we seek
suddenly appears
a refining Light
exposing
the Truth
of our Being
a burning flame
of Love
that hides
from none
in Justice
awestruck
we follow
this guiding Light
into the goodness
and kindness
and mercy
of God

Can you endure the day of His coming?
