to God’s healing touch
upon our ears
our mouth
and our hardened heart
we hear His voice of love
guiding us
in new ways
of Being
away from deception
away from hatred
and weapons of war
to kindness
generosity
and peace

the smallness
of our being
our undeserving

for words
of love

“who shall I send?”
risen
in your love
no longer afraid
we say
“Here I am.
I shall go”

Have you felt the hot ember of God upon your lips?
The awe of God’s presence?
The peace that God brings?

moved
by the Spirit
not neglecting
to do good
and share
what we have
we listen
for the voice
that will lead
us through
the valley
of our fears
into the Light
of Love
healing divisions
inspired
by His words

to ourselves
or each other

Is the Lord your light and your salvation?
Is God a refuge in times of trouble?
Do you gain strength through the Holy Spirit?

and a walking stick
they lived
on the kindness
of strangers

to Good News
seeing
a new way
to live
not in fear
but in the love
